Subway serving Fuze :(

Is it just my Subway or have all of them gotten rid of their fabulous fresh brewed iced tea and replaced it with Fuze lemon Pine Sol flavored nastiness? Can you tell I am displeased with this new development? I drink soda. I am not anti-soda but I don't like Coke or Coke products so, a few years ago, when Subway switched all of their fountains from Pepsi to Coke, I at least still had iced tea I could drink with my sandwich. Now they have taken that away from me too and it makes me mad. And sad. What about you? Maybe it's not Subway's iced tea (or the fabulous ham and cheese crepes at IHOP or the whole freaking menu at Ruby Tuesday) but surely somewhere along the way some restaurant/fast food joint where you eat has taken something off of their menu or changed something that you really liked. Was it something you could get over or did it ruin the restaurant for you?

I've always been ticked off when a food joint switched from Pepsi to Coke. I drink diet pepsi, I cannot stand diet coke. So I kept switching from joint to joint, now there's nowhere I can go and have the drink I like. I used to spend quite a bit of money at those places. Not anymore! I'd rather sit in a laundromat and do my writing than a joint where I can't have the drink I like. It totally ruins the restaurant for me. I usually don't go back.

Yeah, Pepsi is better than Coke, for sure. The Subways I've been to never served ice tea in the past, but the one I go to (in NYC) now serves Fuze Green Tea (with honey/unsweetened). I actually think the green tea with honey is fantastic, makes up for not having anything not-uber-sweet to drink. And plus it seems fairly healthy too. As for how Subways are managed, that has to do with the individual manager of the store--they get to decide what additional stuff they have (from tea to discounts). If you have a complaint, you should go to him/her. Some Subway's don't have student discounts, don't have a Subway card with points to get a free sandwich, don't have tea, charge extra for Spinach in a sandwich (which pisses me off), while others have all of these things. Another note--Subway cookies are amazing, but if you go to Subway to cut down on calories, they KILL you...each cookie is more than 200 calories!

Ugh, I hate Fuze. I never had Subway's iced tea but it has to be better than that stuff. I drank some of it once and it tasted like fruit-flavored dish soap.
