Did you like Tatiana?

I don't know, there was just something about her I didn't like! Don't get me wrong - she has an AMAZING voice but her personality was not made for American Idol at all to me. She didn't give up when the judges told her now and she was crying all the time. I think to be on that show you have to be a strong individual and know that whatever the judges say is what goes and be ready to accept that...especially with Simon! lol I think Tatiana will make it once she gets her emotions under her control, but maybe not on American Idol.
What do you think about her? Are you happy she's gone?

I like her for the sake of fun. In fairness, she has a great voice and a very "unique" personality. She's annoying but we can't help laughing at her every time she cries or laughs. But if she keeps on showing those emotions, everyone will hate her.
The others who did not make it to the wild card have better voices than Tatiana. However, I don't think AI is all about good voices. We witnessed from the past seasons that great voice is not enough to win the title. One should have the charisma, a personality and really good talent.

That is true. We have definitely seen some unique personalities this season - Tatiana was only one! I wonder if she will go back and watch the episodes and go...oh, man. Was that really me?!?! or if she would be proud of what she did? Hmmmm. I think we will see some of those that didn't make it eventually, many of them were actually really good and I think someone will give them a label, it will just take a lot of work.

LOL! Yep, she's unique all right. So was Nathaniel and Nick, but the judges didn't bring them back. I actually could have dealt with Nathaniel, he can dial down some but Tatiana seems unable to. I agree that AI is not just about 'good voices', it's a package along with the good voice. Presentation, stage presence, confidence, how much they want it. When someone isn't 110% there, viewers and judges can tell. I'm not sure what bothers me more, a solid excellent performer who lacks confidence and downplays their talent or someone who doesn't have chops but thinks they are king or queen of the world...
Also AI is a live show. These contestants are not the same as the average recruited musician who goes into a studio right away to produce an album. They are entertainers first, live singers first, and it takes a lot more to do a good show live consistently than it does to go produce albums in a studio. This is one reason why I don't tend to be an 'artist' fan, rather I am a 'song' fan, I like and listen to individual pieces in general instead of saying I follow an artist or band most of the time. I have a couple exceptions when I know they sound good live and continue to sound good live and produce great albums too. An example from AI itself - Carrie Underwood. She is such a good live performer. I don't hear her live and groan because it sounds completely different than what I hear on the radio, and THAT my friends is an earmark of a talented performer.

I didn't watch the show last night yet, but I heard that Tatiana was cut and boy was I thrilled. I can't even believe that they brought her back as a wild card. She was so annoying. The one time I could handle her was when she acted really mello. She is so wrong for American Idol. She is too annoying.

What was with that anyway? I thought the judges really frowned on repeating the same song for another performance. I did like Anoop's performance but if it's such a bad decision to repeat I wonder why they don't tell contestants they can't do it. Unless they bring the house down, it seems to show a lack of creativity and inability to stretch.

I caught the last 30 minutes of it, but what really surprised me is that she chose to sing a song for the third time. We all know the judges don't like that! I am just glad that she is done.

I was thankful to see that no one allowed her to go on as she was the most annoying contestant that has ever been on the show. I didn't like Nick Mitchell/Norman Gentle either but she was even more annoying than he was! I am glad that she went home as she was too emotional and she didn't know when to shut up and listen!

I am absolutely glad she's gone although based on voice only I'd have chosen her and NOT Megan. I think Tatiana has a good voice but her personality is too crazy and drama queen. If she could just sing and not talk or interact with anybody, she'd be excellent lol. That said, I don't see American Idol or a live competition as her avenue to stardom. Maybe she can try auditioning for roles on tv or movies - roles where she gets to sing. If she's in character she might be tolerable - or if she's singing!

I agree completely - I don't really care for Megan's voice but I like her personality much more! I think a soap opera star would be perfect for her over-the-top personality...no problem with bringing on the tears!

I was surprised that she was brought back for the wildcard, because she is so annoying. She doesn't know when to shut up. She has a pretty good voice, but the rest of her personally is not what I would call pleasing. She just goes on and on and on, even when the judges were trying to get a word in, she still wouldn't shut up.
Maybe acting is better for her, like one of the judges said

I agree with you and Paula - be an actress! I figured they brought her in to the wildcard because of her voice but now that I see so many people that don't like her - I wonder why they did. There were others that had good voices with good personalities that didn't get that second chance...that's not fair.

this is what AI is known for. people getting emotional on being booted out of the competition specially after a hurtful comment from simon . cause as we know that simon will not spare any one any of his rude comments no matter as long as he things it will be constructive which i think is just plain criticisms. i am looking forward to watch it when it is shown locally. i am curious who made it and what are their characters and who have the potential and who will be my favorite this time.

There is nothing 'constructive' about pure nastiness - phrasing criticism in a way meant to be blunt and rude and as appalling as possible on live tv in front of millions of viewers. Constructive would be telling the truth in a NICE manner, while giving some options that would fit the person better. Randy is generally constructive. Kara seems to be generally constructive. Paula is so-so. Simon doesn't know the meaning of the word. I fear he confuses constructive with destructive. Different word Simon, different word.

Hi HansonFan - I think I pretty much agree with you about Tatiana. She does have a great voice but man oh man is she kinda nutty. LoL! I think she probably is a really nice and sweet woman... you can tell but her emotions have definitely been on a roller coaster ride! I guess that is saying it nicely. lol
My favorites right now are Scott and Anope (sp?). I can't remember who else right now but there are a few others too. I was really surprised that that one girl (can't remember her name at the moment) from Virginia Beach didn't make it through. She was called back after not making it through Hollywood. I think that Little Rounds has an amazing voice too although I'm not a fan of the music she sings, she is still wonderful.

Tatiana is a very good singer. When I saw how she acts in American Idol it was a big turn off until I heard her voice. Woah, her voice is not the same as how he acts LOL. American Idol is a popularity contest at the same time so I really didn't think she would make it to be honest her attitude is childish and annoying to a lot of people. Including Simon...

I do believe that Tatiana had a great voice..Yes, I am a canadian who never misses an episode of american idol..lol...our own canadian idol is taking a year off....I guess its because I refused to try out again this year.....The show would fold for sure if I did, or be the best episode ever
Tatiana annoyed me from the start..However, she did obviously give people a lot to talk about and maybe thats why she was put there. I think her emotional antics were overdone as if faked. Way too annoying for me thanks, but amusing at the same time!

I don't like her..really.. I agree that she has a good voice, and she sings really well, but her personlaity really irritates me. She's too emotional and it's really annoying, especially with the way she laughs and much worse when she cries! I understand that she wants to win the competition and she's working on it, but she's not deserving to be the next American Idol. She may audition for any other acting contests, but not American Idol.

There was something about her that i was pulling for but in the wild card show when simon said that is the third time you sang that song, you knew that she was toast. You had to think even though they invited back 8 to fill the show i am sure they had three they thought they wanted back. Based on they decided over a commerical break i beleive it to be true. You would think they needed to have all four judges voting for the person to make it through so when simon said that you knew he was not on board.

I couldn't stand her...she is NOT right for American Idol at all...I think she would be better in Broadway...I mean I swear I think everything she did was acting......I mean its like paula said, where did that accent come from...out of the blue...lol...she's got a great voice and in my mind she's also a GREAT actress!!

She's a drama queen who wants attention all the time. She wouldn't shut up, she cries for no reason at all, she's hysterical all the time i can't stand her. If I had someone like her in my life I would just stay away from her. She's not bad looking at all and she does have a good voice but everyone can easily overlook that cause she's just so annoying.

Her being over emotional was just so annoying. Her personality is not for the music industry/show business. I don't think she can take criticisms well. She needs to be tough to be in the industry and face all the critics. In fairness, she's got a good voice and pretty face. I am glad she's gone as everybody there would not need to put up with her dramas. I don't hate her, but I might like her minus too much crying and emotions.

Yes!!! I am bery glad she is gone. That chick is a goofball, and an emotional roller coaster. Not to mention she was so annoying. She voice wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best either.
