i have a friend who speaks kinda good english. once she said something and i was confused. i dont know if its a mistake or it can also be said this way....
1) my mom is making me noodles : actual meaning : my mom is cooking noodles for me.
2) i'm home : actual meaning: i am back home .

Both ways of saying both sentences is fine. One is longer than the other but the message is clear in both cases and that is what matters most when communicating. English is an odd language but you'll get used to it. I wish someone was making noodles for me...it's late here and I'm kind of hungry....
