I just heard from the news today, Francis M succumbed to leukemia at 12 noon today. That is so sad. Francis M is such a big influence in the Rap and Music industry in the Philippines. Many young people look up to him and it is such a tragedy that his life ended at the age of 44. I still remember how I, as a young girl, did my best to memorize "Mga Kababayan Ko", a truly inspiring and patriotic song. I also love his other songs like Cold Summer Nights. How about you, how did the master rapper's music influence your life?

At least, he had accomplished things as a singer, as an entrepreneur and as a Filipino. He had inspired lots of people even those who are suffering from various diseases. And at last, he will no longer feel the physical pains. I'm sure he was sad to be leaving his family this early but where he is right now, he can continue to intercede for them. I hope the family will be comforted by their close friends and relatives and find strength in each other.

That's really a sad news. I came across your discussion and I can't imagine it. I don't watch television that's why I am not aware, so I researched from the net. It's really shocking. Filipinos thought he had recovered but he's not. We just hope that his family will accept it and move on. But it is really hard to do so.

The problem with cancer is that there is always a possibility that it will come back, even if the doctors say that you are cancer-free, once you've had it, there's always a danger it will come back. As for Francis' case, I think he was still struggling with the leukemia because of his on-going chemo therapies.

I was really shocked when I heard the news from Williie Revillame of Wowowee. Francis has a great talent, and great love of our country. As a child, I really admired his songs and sang whenever I saw his commercial. He seems to be a very kind hearted and sincere person and I think that is what separates him from the rest...Although he lived a full life, he is still a great loss for us Filipinos. I hope we all remember him in our hearts.

This is really sad. I have been following his multiply account (although it has been sometime since it was last updated) and I thought he was having a good fight with leukemia.

HI rakittera, I heard about that too when I was about to get to work an hour ago. I thought it was just a rumor... Is it really true? I love Francis M.'s songs since I was a kid especially Kaleidoscope world... He's been like a good example of a father like my own dad.In his shows, he doesn't get embarrass in showing how he loves his family... He's one of the artists I know who really used his talent to show the world that Filipinos are talented and not to be messed with... T_T waaaaaaaaaaaah I feel sad about this... T_T

Sadly, this report is confirmed. Apparently, he was scheduled for blood transfusion a few days ago but they could not push through with the transfusion coz he caught pneumonia. The pneumonia killed him, a complication in his cancer.

That is very sad, I am so sad to hear that. 44 years old is way to young to have your life come to an end. Leukemia is a devastating disease, and it must have been very difficult for him to have that. Just really, really sad news.

I was driving on my way to my friend's pad when I received a text about Francis M. passed away exactly at 1pm. I was like, "Hell nah! Stup*id text!", not until I heard it on news to confirm it. It was totally a shock to me. Until now couldn't believe it. At such a young age. There's no cure for acute leukemia, even the first time I heard it on TV of Francis having it. But I would never expect he'll be gone this fast. It was just so sad. His songs will always remain to every Filipinos! Hail to Francis Magalona!! I'm all hands down to him! He's the one of the best singers in the country and the only one! Rest in Peace Master Rapper of PI, Francis Magalona. He left to join his Master.. We'll see you in time. We'll miss you! Pinoy Pride! You made us proud! Pilipino tayo!

I think his recent residence is in Antipolo, that's where I live now. He must be a good man, you can just see from the support his family is getting now from his friends in showbiz.

It's really is a sad news, I was shocked when they announced it in Eat Bulaga today. I may not know him personally, but having grown up in the Bagets era I somehow feel connected to him. Being an aspiring songwriter, I also look up to him for his great talent in writing. He is a big loss to the music industry, and to the whole country as well.

Your discussion came to me as a shock! I still can't believe it. I thought he's still fighting for it. Francis Magalona has been my earliest influence in music back when i was still into pinoy rap. Now i'm into metal. It was also from Francis where i experienced my first attendance in a concert. The news just came too fast!

Everbody seems to be in shock. Vic Sotto announced it in Eat Bulaga and you could see that the hosts were fighting back their tears. Even Willie Revillame expressed sympathy over his show Wowowee as soon as he heard the news.

Pia, his wife, refuses to face the media to give a statement at this moment. I could understand that. She's devastated.

I never knew he had leukemia. This is truly sad. His songs were very memorable and he was a very great influence. Not only that he has helped many artists establish their careers here in the Philippines. My personal favorite was kaleidoscope world I think it is one of the most underrated songs here.

I never believed my friend when I received his text message this morning. You cannot blame me, it happened to Ely Buendia before. I searched for the news on the internet and its confirmed. It really is true. What a great loss he is in the music and even the whole entertainment industry. Francis M is such a talented person. Not to mention his passion for music and how he shows his nationality through his songs. We will surely miss hearing and seeing The Master Rapper. May he rest in peace.

It is sad to hear the passing of a good rapper. I admired Francis M. because he was not a stereotype artist. He was proud to be a Filipino and showed it in his music. He will be surely missed.
