Did you watch Gilligan's Island? I loved that show. I have watched the re-runs over and over again and I probably still would if they came back on. Imagine being a castaway, just as well they all got along because it didn't look like they were going home any time soon! Imagine building yourself a hut to live in and hunting for food! Gee I wonder how the Skipper, Gilligan and the rest did it. I am going to take cases full of stuff next time I go on a day trip, you never know...
If you got stranded on a deserted island who would you like to be "stuck" with? Who would you like to go hunting with? Did I mention it has to be a famous person? OH yeah, no husbands or wives here! Which famous person would you like to be stranded with? Do tell, it will be our little secret...Go on...I know you want to...

Would love to be stranded with Jan Micheal Vincent, or Mel Gibson, lol. One can only wish. LOL.
Love Gilligans Island, it was a good time for everyone, it was my hubby's favorite too. So many wonderful years to enjoy it and the crew and the cast a ways.

I've seen every episode over and over and I still enjoy it. Mel Gibson I could live with for a while, it would be difficult but I'd manage! (LOL)

We never tire of the episodes either. Yes there is just something about Mel Gibson, don't think I would get bored to easily either, LOL

You mean only one person? OK I would go for Tarzan. He would come in handy, I am sure...
Seriously, if you ask me NOW, I would like to take Richard Dawkins to understand his books better. May be we could come up with a new science or fiction, who knows!
BTW, we do not get the show you are talking about here. It sounds very interesting though.

What a shame you've never seen Gilligan's Island. It is a comedy circa 1964 I think about seven people, four men and three women stranded on an uncharted island following a torrential storm. The Skipper was in charge of the ill fated boat the S.S.Minnow and Gilligan his first mate. The rest of the cast were passengers Marianne, Ginger, Mr & Mrs Howell and Professor Roy Hinkley who spent most of his time inventing contraptions to get them all off the island.
It is one of those "bad" shows most people love. Tarzan is an excellent choice by the way!

Now that's an interesting question. It would have to be someone who could entertain well, as electronic entertainmant would be out of the question. I know most giuys will come up with some beautiful female, but you know the old adage, 'dumb blond.' One person I'd hate to share an island with in that "Hilton" bore.

Hi paula! I remember that show! I liked it too. I liked how the characters were so diverse and stuck together.lol...I think if I were stuck with one famous person it would be that survival guy that gets dropped all over the world and shows you how to survive. I can't remember his name but he was in the french foreign legion before he got his show.

Can't say I've seen him, but it sure sounds like the ideal person for these circumstances, thanks!

This is very interesting as I had a dream several months ago about a hut lol. It was set up like in the movies The Swiss Family Robinson, so we had a lot of English style bamboo furniture, yet my husband and I were both dressed very tribal, like Amazon tribal.
Anyhow, to answer your question I would have to have my husband. I know you said "no", but it doesn't work for me. My husband has been my best friend for 10 years now and I would love to be on an island with him to myself lol. That, and he'd know just how to survive lol.
However, if it has to be a famous person, I would have to with Les Stroud or Mike Rowe, because Les well wrote the book on surving in the wild, and i believe Mike Rowe could survive in the wild as well. And well, they are both pleasing on the eyes.

That is so nice you would choose your husband before anyone else, although pleasing to the eye and a knowledge of survival sound good to me and I am sure your husband fits that description too! Thanks for responding!
