Glad to hear that all is well. Be strong now girl, as your child can pick up your fears as well. Don't worry too much as 5.1 is not too dangerousCheck this link out on Ritcher magnitudes & it's effects:

you are lucky it is so scary to be in one and there is nothing you can do. Just the noise is very scary and then you have the shakes as well. I always feel sick after an earthquake.

Now that is scary we dont get them here thank God for that but winds scare me a lot. But at least you sort of expect them with earthquake you dont know when they Re going to hit that is what is scary.

Well here we get alot of tornadoes, and those are scary too, I've never been in one, but I see them all the time on the news, and its starting to get to be tornado season here pretty quick, when we start getting all the spring rains.

Poor you - a very frightening experience. Pleased to hear nothing broken,
I looked it up on the 'The Earth is Alive!' link at the bottom of this page:-
http://www.simpleworldmaps.com/countries.htm on the earthquakes link and it showed the center of the quake just off the coast of NW Australia -

I live in Sacramento now, in the middle of California. Once in a while we feel a little tremble. But in 1989 I lived in San Jose when the Loma Prieta hit. Downtown Watsonville, some 50 miles to the south of me, was pretty much destroyed, a neighborhood in San Francisco, 25 or 30 miles northwest, was almost leveled, and the most famous was the double-decker freeway collapse in Oakland, that was northeast.
The only damage in the house I was staying at was my computer was thrown to the floor. Fortunately because of my bachelor housekeeping skills, it landed on a pile of clothes, and it was in the days before hard drives (anyone else remember 5 1/4 inch floppy disks?)
My first earthquake experience was 1983 where half of the commercial district of Coalinga was destroyed (59 of 139 buildings) - I was in Salinas at the time, 50 or 75 miles away (map sites aren't working on my machine for some reason) and our chandelier just swung like crazy.

Oh,I'm so sorry to hear about the earthquake.Let's just pray you don't get to experience another one...but just in case, try not to panic especially now that you're pregnant.
On a lighter note,I want to congratulate you for your coming baby.
Take care.

Thanks for that. My husband is making fun at me for reacting the way I did but I have such fear of earthquakes its not funny. I lived in a place that was often rocked by earthquakes and not just 1 or 2 when they atarted we used to get them a lot so now I am very scared of them.

That's so scary - I'm glad you're ok! You definitely don't need that kind of stress when you're pregnant! I hope it's all over for now!
