Hi friends, confession, I have never been to the seaside or even seen the sea. I know some of you are begining to laugh. Ok, just laugh out loud and then have a stomach, haha. Actually it's one of my dream to go watch the beautiful sea someday. My hometown has mountains, maybe you can call it hills but no sea, either the city I am working in. Some of the neighboring cities not very far away do have sea but that's not what I am talking about. They have been totally polluted. What a shame! I mean the real sea, blue water, and seabirds, I am not sure. Bf said he would take me to see the sea, but definitely not now! I am eager to know have you ever been to the seaside? And what's the sea like? I have seen the pictures but I'd like to hear some discription from you. It's more real! Thanks!!

i too i think though the seas are beautiful i feel that the beauty of teh moutains is far more than the beauty of the seas. it is great to swim but it is easy to get used to in its beauty and also the soundo f the sea specially at night is not that good specially if your home is near the sea cause the sound of the waves is quite disturbing according to some people that live near the seas. and so i admire the beauty of mountains more. but still it is still worth seeing the seas. specially the unpolluted ones.

The first 14 years of my life were spent about a mile away from the sea. In the summer I would go down to the beach most weekends, and in the winter, at low tide, I would go and dig for worms to go fishing. I love the sea and wouldn't be happy if I was never to see it again.. - Derek

Hello derek. It is so lucky of you to have got the chance to live next to the sea. If only I could have such a chance to live close to the sea! I believe that there is a lot of fun living close to the sea as you can go swimming in the sea every summer. Take care, derek.

I Live in Northern Ireland.it's not a big country,as it's said there's nowhere more than 80 miles from the sea! Where I live is about 40 miles away from the Atlantic ocean coast, where I can go for a walk on the beach,go surfing or bodyboarding, and just relax..the beach closest to Me has a hotel above it,and they have a webcam looking out across it..http://www.sandhouse-hotel.ie/webcam.html I hope You get to visit the sea sometime soon!

I only get to the sea shore every 3 years or so. But when I do it's wonderful. It's like going home, even in a storm it's great. I don't like to go into the sea or on a boat, I've come to close to drowning several times. But I love the smell, the sound and the look of the sea. Which sea are you near?

Haha, come close to drowning several times. Well, be careful next time, my friend and don't become closer! I am near the Southern sea of China and that province of Hainan has become a sea resort in our contry. Sea there should be very beautiful and less polluted. But we are not planning any holiday to that extravagent resort hotels in this year. Poor me!

Good morning Denise-tung ! If you are so interested in the sea you should try to plan on taking a vacation some day to the sea . If you want it that bad you should make it your goal. You would never be sorry for doing it . I live by the ocean . My home is in the Yucatan , Mexico in a small fishing village. The sea is awesome , everything about it is beautiful to me . On hot days its so nice to feel the breeze coming in from the ocean . The sound of the waves , and the sea birds . I enjoy watching the Pelicans looking for fish from high above the sea , and diving down beak first and catching fish. I get such a thrill out of seeing Dolphins swim ,and jump up playing in the sea on calm mornings . Watching the beautiful sunrise early mornings , the water looks like glass it's so calm it seems to blend in with the blue sky . Sunsets are amazing ! In summer the sunsets turn the sky a deep orange or red , it's just beautiful ! On a clear night if you look up at the sky over the sea , the stars are soo big and bright you almost feel like you could reach up and touch them . I love being out walking the beach first thing in the mornings . I love walking the beach picking up sea shells , sea glass and other odd things that the tide washes up . I enjoy looking at sea life and learning about it . There are so many strange things living under the sea ! As far as sea air, I find it to be very healthy . I'm much healthier living by the sea . Breathing the salt air, having the beauty and the sounds to relax me . Yes Denise-Tung , you need to see it for yourself . I wish you could come to the Yucatan, Mexico and see what I see everyday . I'm very lucky the good lord has helped me to find my way here !

Yes I have been to seaside numerous times and different kind of seasides! Best seaside can be found in India! There are seasides where three oceans meet at the same time and you can see three different colour of water side by side, and also then there are coral and volcanic sea beaches! It's amazing!

Hello DT. I have been to one of the seasides for only one time, but the seaside I have been to was not blue water, but very brown, which was not what I expected. Anyway I still enjoyed myself from seeing the broad and endless sea. That is the only time I have ever been to the seaside. I am sorry to say that I did not see seagulls then. One of the sailors told me that unless I went with them to the far side of the sea could I see the blue sea, but I did not have enough time to go with them. I was there for only a short time. I hope that some day I will be able to a nice and clean seaside with lots of sea birds to enjoy. Enjoy yourself, DT.

Hey there! Oh, that's sad. I have been to the beach many times. Most of the beaches that I've been top were very beautiful. The sand is white and very fine. It feels good to the feet, it's like a cream. The sea is clean and blue. It's very beautiful. I hope you could go and see the sea. I wonder, do you know how to swim? Have a nice day. Happy posting!!

Oh my!you mean, ever since you were born?oh, you missed a very important part of our lives:watching sunrise/sunset by the sea. You know I am very lucky that I was born in Surigao del sur because this province is a coastal area, facing the mighty Pacific Ocean. When I was still in the province, me and my family spent breakfast at the seashore watching the magnificent sunrise, frolicking around the beach and splashing to the water. We go swimming every weekend and watched the beautiful ocean turning cobalt blue water to turquoise and to aquamarine colors, wonderful sights indeed! When I became a teenager, I spent every afternoon at the beach near our house and wrote beautiful stories inspired by the bellowing of the waves. I was so lucky that I was born in a place where both beaches and mountains are accessible, we can play sand castle at the beach in the morning and go up in the mountain chasing butterflies in the afternoon, it was an amazing childhood memories. But now that I am living in the city, mountains and beaches became a luxury to me. But you gotta go out and visit a beach resort because watching a beautiful seashore is such a soothing relief for a troubled life.

well,i do not know what is will be living in a town with great mountains around. but, if you ask me about the sea life, you got it.i have been stay by the seaside three years for study.out of the west door of my school, crossing a road, the sea just bursts into the eyes.the first time i saw the sea, i was so exciting.it is so large that making you frightened. far away, there were several fishing ships, just like the ants, moved slowly on the surface.specially in summer, the cold water attracks you jumpping in to escape from scorching heat. it feels beautiful. some ppl say the salty air and the sound of the wave may disturb you a lot. i do not think so. actually, only getting close can you smell and hear it,not terrible as you imagine. what is more, maybe you will fall in love with it, just like me.

I think the ocean is beautiful I like to go and just sit and watch the beautiful blue waves crash against the shore line. The animals there are just as beautiful Seagulls fly over head and in the water you can find many animals i have gathered sea horses (just to look at them, but i always return them) Star fish, and lots of lots of sand dollars. Sea shells are in abundance too. I love the sea. when I am there i feel like it calls to me. Now i want to go for a visit lol. I live about 100 miles from the ocean. pacific.

I have been at the sea before for over two months actually when I was at this english camp helping koreans practice their english communication skills. The see was clean and you can feel the sea breeze every now and then. You can hear the waves too at night and sometimes, they are strong, sometimes they are soft. It really feels good whenever I have class with my student there since its not really stressing at all. However, sometimes the wind would be warm and then the next moment, be cool. Its very nice and inviting. (^_^ )

I don't think it's that big of a deal that you haven't seen the sea/ocean up close and personal. To be honest with you, it was only last year, after being on this earth for 37 years that I had seen the ocean myself. I live inland and just never had occasion to go to one of the coasts. I think the thing that struck me the most was just looking out at the water and that's all you see. It seems like it goes on forever. Another thing that struck me is how dark it really gets. I live in a city and there's always some light, even in the middle of the night from streetlights and such. But at night, by the ocean, atleast where we were staying, it was very dark. The last thing that I was in awe of is the sounds of the oceans. It really can be quite loud, the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. I enjoyed just sitting and looking out at te water and relaxing.

i've been to a total of 6 seas, and 3 oceans as a matter of fact. i think the best one i've been to is the mediteranian sea, it beautiful from the ports that i've seen. for the whitest sand, i would say the indian and the atlantic oceans are both very pretty. if you have never been to a sea or an ocean, you owe it to yourself to go. but that goes for alot of things in life. if you never go, you will only have other people's reactions to it.
