obama wanna close guantanamo

I heard in a news saying some of the first things Barrack Obama wanted to do was closing guntanamo and in my oppinion he should have thought that one through first because the rules goes like this.
1. He cant send them back to there own country
2. he can have them killed.... of course -.-
3. he cant send them to another country than america and i dont think even america wants em so i think he cant do anything.
what are youre oppinions about this.
my oppinion is that it is a very bad idea while he can stop having them sent there because they look like terrorists cuz if im right americans is a bit paranoid.

Gitmo has caused a lot of innocent people suffering. I admit that while it needs some reformation, it should not be shut down completley. We need someplace to hold and deal with terrorists and suspected terrorists. Let's be realistic, it would be a lot worse for us if we just let them all go.

In all honesty Obama has no option but to close Guantanamo it is the glaring beacon that lights the way to all that was wrong with the Bush administration policies. Obama has stated he WILL close the prison camp withing 12 months. Apart from in the eyes of Bush, Rumsfeld and Cheney there is no doubt that torure was performed during interrogation at Guantanamo in breach of the Geneva convention on human rights. Until it is closed America will face condemnation within the right thinking world.

No he cant have them killed ...... would kinda make a bad situation worse.
No I don't think America does want them on its mainland BUT if their IS evidence that they are terrorists then there is no reason why they cannot be brought to trial within the judicial system.
Holding people for years on end without charge or trial is inhumane (without the other things that have occurred there) and unless one puts ones own house in order you have no rational basis to criticise anyone elses behaviour.
Closing it is not a bad idea it is essential, you say he could just not send any new people there what do you suggest he do with those already there just let them rot without charge/trial for forever?
