Whatever happened to former Govenor Tommy Thompson?

I don't know too much about him. He very briefly threw his hat in the ring for the presidential election but that went nowhere. The last time I saw him was on the O'Reilly factor in December when they were discussing the insulting display by atheists attacking religion in Washington on state grounds. He had said how atheist tried the same thing when he was governor and he just had their display put on the second or third floor in an area that nobody would see it to avoid getting sued by them.
