Life stinks, it sucks, it's horrible, can it get any worse?

The economy stinks, yeah I know it, and it's affecting me so bad that I have to vent. I'm sick and tired of it.
There are NO jobs out there, the unemployment rates are increasing at an alarming rate, companies are laying off their employees.
Then there are the scavengers, the companies looking for your money despite that you don't have it. They threaten you until they can't threaten you anymore.
They threaten to cut off your heat and water and your electricity. You'll suffer without any of this.
I can't deal with this.
I'm about to bounce my a$$ onto the street because of this crisis.
I'm behind in my rent payment by a month, can't afford to pay it, but can't afford to move.
The cable/internet/phone provider is threatening to terminate my services, which are my lifelines to the world because of a delinquent account. I have to pay $420 immediately or risk being cut off for good. Can't work without a contact number to be reached at.
I have a car lease that I'm about to fall behind on and repair payments to make on this junker so I can actually get a job(I have one, it's just on hold due to the off season). I have to pay car insurance on top of that, and in my city, it's not CHEAP! But my lease requires me to pay for all the extras which is why my insurance costs so much.
I share an apartment now with only one person, who also isn't working due to this crappy economy. We shared with someone else, but she went insane, attacked me 2 months ago, and was evicted for doing so, leaving us high and dry and stuck with her garbage belongings which she refuses to have removed. I'm ready to throw it all out in the garbage, but the city(lazy idiots they are), wont take it.
My computer is dying, which means there goes the work at home job I used to have, I can't do it because I had to uninstall the work software so things worked. The software wouldn't have worked anymore either.
I'm supposed to be getting a computer donation, just not sure when I will get it, and then maybe I can get online and do some writing that I used to get paid for, some research writing, I'd be getting many assignments and would make some good money.
A lender bailed out without warning, and now I have nothing, the loan would have solved the rent and monthly car payment, and some of the $420 owed to the service provider so I could continue to be online working.
I almost got rear-ended by some jerk in a Mercedes last night, I wish he had done it, he'd be at fault and would owe me big time for the damage he would have caused to my car. I wonder if he would have paid me cash to deal with the damage. Probably not, he probably would have whined that I wrecked his precious car, when it would have been his fault for not paying attention. I watched him slam on his brakes and swerve to avoid my rear end.
If I hadn't been in a wreck in 2007, I would have had a car that was fully paid for, and cheaper insurance, and wouldn't be in such a tight situation like I'm in now.
But then again, if the economy wasn't as crappy as it is, I wouldn't have this trouble.
I worry about my pets, they are my family and are the most important to me, they certainly can't be homeless, they wouldn't survive. But at the same time, I can't give them up since they are my family.
So I'm angry, I'm pissed and I'm frustrated, wouldn't you be if you faced the same situation? Owing a ton of money that you don't have and facing homelessness with no support whatsoever?
I know I'm not the only one suffering, but it sure seems like it. I'm just trying to get by until I'm working full time, and that will be in the next month or so, and that will bring me in enough money that I can start saving it.
Maybe the world governments should have done something to protect those of us not in recession proof industries.

In times like thiese we need more than prayer. We need action. If you're a cop or a teacher you are lucky but as for the rest of us...we seem to be on our own.

I work in landscaping and the winter didn't bring in a lot of work, so that was the big issue for us.
My husband quit a crappy job, the hours were non existent and the pay was well below the poverty line.
So until the summer starts, we suffer. Summer is the money maker for landscapers, that's why there are so many who own their own mansions in the rich areas of the city here.

I'm not sure where that idea came from, cops are not above being terminated. A lot of small towns are getting rid of their police departments, they can't afford to have them, and relying on a neighboring dept to cover their area. And not sure where you live, but in some areas, smaller schools are consolidating with a bigger school, that doesn't mean that the teachers are offered a job at the larger school just because their students will be moved there. I can't think of one single position, other than politicians, that aren't or can't be affected by this.

I would print out this discussion and send it to the President!!! He really needs to get things going for the people that are in such horrible shape.
About your pets, check with the grocery stores, sometime you are able to get their broken bags of food to help you feed your animals.
Could you PM me, I have an idea...which would help you through the winter months.
Also, thank you for the best response! It made my night. I also have animals (4 cats and 4 dogs) and I couldn't possibly give one of them up as they do so much to brighten the dark days.

You're quite welcome.
We have survived the winter months as best as we could, still struggling a little, but not as much.
We moved to an area where there is more work, I'm closer to my job now so that will help save some money.
We discovered that the dollar store sells hamster food, so we now buy it there since it's so cheap. Catfood we still pay a decent price for, but the cat will eat somewhat cheaper food and is ok with it, he's not finicky on his food.
I think we're set for the rest of the year now, the weather is getting better and there is work to be had.

It is bad, just know you are in the same situation as alot of people. I feel for you. They just cut my husbands pay. It will be less money a month, he is the only one working. It is going to get worse before it gets better, I am afraid. They keep saying consumers need to spend to help the economy. My question is, when are they going to wake up and realize that without a job, and one that pays different, there is no money to spend. They could have helped if they would have handed that money to all of us. We may have paid bills, but that would have helped the banks, people would have bought cars, etc.

It's absolutely ridiculous. The economy is faltering, but the governments don't seem to care.

I am sorry to hear you are having so many problems, but as you said there are many people out there having troubles. Some times it helps just to vent. I myself am just barely squeaking by. I don't work outside my home but thankfully i own my mobile home. I also have sons who bail me out in tight situations. Other wise i would be in the same boat as you. I will pray that things get better for you. I was always told that everything happens for a reason. maybe if people keep losing their jobs and such the government will finally open their eyes to the situation. One can only hope Huh??

I hope governments everywhere smarten up and figure this out.
We've lost so many jobs up here, it's ridiculous. More jobs are being cut daily and everyone's having trouble.
I have no family or friends to help, and that sucks.
The Salvation Army doesn't seem to care either, I've tried contacting them about this.

I wish I had the money to help bail you out. I am currently living on disability. I took my daughter, son in law, grand daughters and my son in law's uncle in for 9 months. They were supposed to help me with work around the house and help with the expenses. RIGHT!!! During the time they were living with me, they totaled my car, ran my electric bill up to over 1200 dollars, ran up fines in my home owners association that amounted to over $4000, ran me out of propane which will cost me nearly $500 to replace, cost me my student grants and loans, forced me to put my dog to sleep, swiped my rent for the year (I don't have a checking account, so I had the cash hidden in my room), and from the lack of money I had the car I purchased to replace the one they totaled repossessed. I did some figuring a few nights ago when I couldn't sleep and that 9 months cost me over $100,000! That is figuring fair market rent, rental on the car they supposedly borrowed for "two weeks" (it was seven months and 44,000 miles...they were to get their car running in the two weeks. The car they totaled was an Acura CL, and my son in law was using it to drive off road into the hills surrounding my home. There were horrible dents, scrapes, dings and holes in the floor board, catalytic converter, and other parts under the car.)
Have you contacted the Salvation Army? If they can't help you they may be able to find other agencies that can give you assistance. I know the fear of loosing your home. When my "rent" money turned up missing I was threatened with being evicted. Since I don't know where you are, I can't come up with too many suggestions. I would go to the local Social Services (welfare) agencies and see if they have resource lists. Did you receive permanent injuries from your wreck in 2007? Check with Social Security, you may be entitled for disability or temporary disability. The same is with your employment if you had a debilitating injury from the accident.
I so wish that I had the money that I could help you out.. it breaks my heart when there are people who are close to loosing everything and there seems to be no way to get help. As for the governments helping out, you need to look at the people running the governments...one great idea from our previous president was "I don't want to give help to the lenders that have given the mortgages, I only want to help the borrowers". DUH! The people who get the assistance with their mortgages are going to give the money to guess who??? Right, the lenders! I am so pissed and frustrated too, not for me, but for those around me that are suffering from this horrible mess we're in! My heart, thoughts and prayers are with you...

Wow that's harsh, and I thought my brother being lazy and never paying rent was bad. He got fired from a job after only 2 days for doing nothing.
I have no options, I've explored them, since I have a car, welfare considers it an asset and wouldn't give me any money. There was no permanent injury, I still managed to get full time work despite the accident.
I just got an email that could turn things around in the future, not today, but maybe a few months down the road. I could be on TV, having a dream of mine come true, and that would be the most amazing thing ever.

Thanks.
What I really need right now is a prayer, a wish that everything will work out, I'm just so scared, I can't even begin to think about the future.

i am responding so you do not think you are alone in all of this. we have not paid our mortgage for march 1st yet and do not have one penny towards it yet and it is the 7th already. work for my husband has stalled to a crawl and he is self employed and does carpet repair, installation and inspection. he has done this for 30 years and it is all he really knows how to do. kind of late in the game to learn a new trade and we could never afford for him to go to school. he has been pounding the pavement for work. i have 3 jobs one of which is babysitting approx 40 hours per week, i am the bookkeeper for my husband's business for which i do not draw a paycheck and i do online surveys and product testing to make some extra money. in addition i take of the home, laudry, food shopping, paying bills and driving my son back and forth to school and take care of him. i could not possibly do anymore and yet we are barely scraping by. we have no savings and credit card debt because we never have money for emergencies like car repairs etc so we always have to put it on a credit card. we tried to negotiate with the credit card companies but they will not budge. so the struggle goes on and on and we live day by day not knowing if we are going to lose our home or what. something has to give.

I know how it feels because i am also in the midst of such problem and situation. i am searching for my first placement and it is really not that easy to find a job at this situation actually, because no one really wishing to get freshers in i think. but yes there is something more worst than this, and thst's called life in which we have to live even after all this.
