Smoking is harmful to you and everyone around you. So smoking is worse. Drinking is ok in moderation, if it does not go against your beliefs. But anything in excess is a bad thing, including food. Becoming an addict is possible and likely in many cases and I do not want to see anyone go through that.
It is possible to life life hpppily without either one.

I don't think that either action is less harmful than the other, to oneself, and to others. Smoking puts second-hand smoke in the air. Drinking makes a person act foolishly. I would rather smoke than drink. Unfortunately, I smoke. But I don't usually smoke around other people...and NEVER EVER around my children. Usually, it's only outside after the kids go to bed. I don't drink at all. I don't like feeling as if I have no control over my body.
