Everyday life that makes you chuckle

Do you tend to see the irony in everyday life? It seems the laws of entropy seem designed to throw up humerous coincidences wherever we look - or at least, it does with me. Like, my kids' headteacher being called: Mr Cain.
Anyhow, this morning I was behind a guy in the supermarket on his way to work. I know he was going to work because he was wearing a jacket with the company logo on it. The shop had one of those self-serve tills and all went well until he had to pay. He was evidently looking for his card. First he checked his wallet. Then he patted his front pocket. Then both his back pockets. Then he delved REALLY deep into the little pocket in his jeans, down by the kneecap. He must have looked everywhere. Finally, he dug out a crumpled note and paid for his paper and sarnie with that instead, put the change back - and found the card in the one pocket he'd forgotten to look. He apologised for holding us all up and left looking a bit sheepish. We didn't mind - he was in one of the caring professions and besides we were just glad he found what he'd been looking for.
Oh, and the logo on the back of his company jacket?

haha thats brilliant!! lifes subtle ironys is what keeps alot of people going, not to laugh at his misfortune, but to laugh at the situation. at least in that shop the people are decent enough to not make up a fuss, in some shops something like that happens and some one kicks off because there s aslight "que"

Thanks for the reply! I'd forgotten about this one, but reading your post brought it all back. It's one of those moments in life that seem almost scripted.
