I'm just curious as to what everyone thinks when they see an older man with a beautiful young woman? (Ok, or just young.) I am 18 years old. I have been with my husband since I was 16 years old. He is 37 about to 38 in April. We have been married for about a year and a half now and together for two years. I am not with him for his money, for his looks, or anything else. I am with him because he is the sweetest guy ever. He has a great personality. He's funny. He went through hell and back to be with me. He's charming. He treats me like I'm the Queen of the world. We also have a 7 week old daughter together. (We waited almost a year to get pregnant) She has completed our life and is my everything. He puts up with my disfunctional family. (Trust me, I'm suprised he stuck around. I'm ready to run for the hills!) I know he cares and loves me and I love him and our daughter more than anything. Honestly, I've never been this happy in my life. To us, love has no age. I just want to know what everyone's opinion is about an older man being with a younger woman? What do you think when you see it? Do you think it's right or wrong? Thanks everyone!! :) Oh and just to let you know, 16 in NC is legal age of consent. So it was legal when we met. Just to make that clear so no one would bash that. Thanks again!

I think that it is ok to have an age gap, as long as both people are together for the right reasons! It sounds like you two are definitely together for the right ones! I am about 10 and a half years younger than my husband, so not as much of an age gap as you and your husband, but big enough that some people thought it was pretty weird at first. We have been married for two years now, and together for about 3 and a half, and we couldn't be happier! We have a great marriage and we don't even notice the age difference at all. Congratulations on your new daughter, and your marriage! We are hoping to start a family in the near future as well, and can't wait!

Yes, we are married for the right reasons. I love him very much and he loves me very much. Starting a family has so far been the most amazing experience yet. I wish you luck and hope you're just as happy as I am when you start your family.

Hi, nothing is wrong. Just as long as you two are faithful to each other. If you are fine on your end, then you know that you are okay. But as for him, just as long as he does not have a mistress, or ex wife, or many female friends then it would be okay. I just believe that some older men tend to get bored and do otherwise. But, if he loves you, then I see nothing wrong with being with your husband. If he loves you and treats you like the world, then he is the right catch. I hope that you both remain in love forever.

Oh yes, we both have the same belief that if you cheat you didn't love that person that much anyways. He went through way to much to be with me anyway. And he said he fell in love with me the first time he saw me (which was at 15) but nothing happened until I was 16. I never even knew until I was 16. lol. Lucky for me his ex wife and him don't like each other. He did have nothing but female friends, but he doesn't talk or hang out with them anymore, so I don't worry about it. The ones he does talk to I like a lot. My husbands the type who won't get bored. So that's good. I think the problem I hear (people tell him) is I'm young and I'll get bored. Or I'll cheat on him because I'm so young. But that's not how I am. Thanks for your opinion.

There's nothing wrong with that kind of situation as long as the love that both of you are feelings are true and real. It's nice to know how much he loves you so your so lucky having someone like him. Remember there was a saying age doesn't matter so don't worry about it and if there are people saying bad things about that just don't mind them just love and treasure everything you have. Happy mylotting.

Thank you. Yea, I had someone tell me that I'm young and still have my whole life ahead of me. And I haven't lived life yet. But I have lived life, and why fix something that's not broken? I love him very much, and men like him are hard to come by.
