What i hate most..there are so many.... 1. The traffic.. 2. The pollution.. 3. The corrupt officials.. 4. The overflowing of canals and drainage systems..(grabe ang baha!) 5. etc...^_^ But there are also good traits that i like Manila.. 1. Beautiful parks..like Luneta Park 2. Tall buildings and nice establishment in Makati.. 3. The night life...^_^ 4. The characters of the people, even though we faces crisis, we are still willing to face it without fear. 5. The different malls..etc.. So can i can still say, i'm proud to be a Filipino..we just need to find ways on how to solve this problem today...if we unite together i know we can make a solution for this..^_^

flood - just hate it really
whenever i go there, i'll be attacked by asthma. the high temp is the triggering factor. i also hate the traffic and the take-advantage taxi drivers. when it rains there, it really pours. i hate seeing those rodents very glad in flood waters.

I just came here in Manila last year October. Went home then came back again February. I'm still here in what is considered "Manila". I'm staying in Alabang and pays a visit on my aunt in Sampaloc. Manila's so hot! It's really hell to be commuting at noon! The pollution is terrible, especially in Cubao area. I just can't look at the window without smelling the smoke and gasoline. So far that are the only things i have. Oh yeah, the food is very expensive too! Well, the establishments and the chicks are the best here in Manila. Lol!

I am not a regular Manila visitor, but I hate the possibility of getting lost in a big place. Plus, the crime rate, the idea that you can't trust anybody, the high cost of living, it's just so difficult for me. I could probably get used to the pollution and how your "mooger" becomes so black after picking nose the next morning, or how pitch dark your tissue becomes after wiping your cheeks because of the dusty air. But the things I've mentioned above, Manila's a big no for me.

^_^ Mabuhay ka sophie_dfuss!.... I hate MMDA's not following international code for road signs and putting obstructions on the roads and highways. MMDA's should be liable or accountable for the deaths and heavy injuries occurred because of their established obstructions. And not implementing and monitoring speed limit especially during at night. Manila must need more railways than roads or skyways or flyovers. EDSA is like a rollercoaster with lots of ups and down. If you are a driver then got dizzy you might doing the swirl or even a 360 degree turn. Don't need many more jeepneys, fx and buses. And we don't need either many more colorum taxis we need legitimate. Manila should modernized jeepneys to eliminate high cost of riding fx utility vehicles. Change the route of utility vehicles and eliminate many stopping for another ride. My goodness Manila is not big place like Hong Kong why there lots of stop over between rides just to get to destination. ^_^ Salamat and Enjoy!.... myLot!....

The people running the Philippines who are in it. Whatever problem we have about Manila may be alleviated to certain more comfortable degree only if we had honest "servants of the people". Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Hi sophie_dfuss. It's the traffic situation for me.There are just too many vehicles on the road throughout the week..even on weekends.Plus a lot of drivers are rude and do not follow traffic rules. How about you?Is there something you do not like in Manila? Have a nice weekend.Happy mylottin!

i grew up in manila and through the years i learn to love the city. but there a few flaws of the city that really annoy me. one is the criminality rate particularly the snatching and holdapping incidents. i been a victim of this for 3 times, i filed a case but nothing happened. second is waste/garbage issue. other city has firmer law against littering. a know we have the law on proper disposing of waste but manila residents and official dont use the segregation technique unlike in makati and other city. third is the negligence on laws being implemented. they dont follow simple street rules like using the pedestrian lane when crossing or not throwing your trash just anywhere. very few resident do that and im proud to say im one of those who follow.. coz i have a traumatic experience in college about this trashes. our professor in college let us CLEAN the whole roxas boulevard as part of requirement in his class. and we are not allowed to leave the place until each of us has gather atleast 3 sacks of garbage from that place!! its super traumatic coz i spent a day cleaning at grabbing every trash i saw. haaay! but i still love manila. its where im from! and im still hoping that a better manila is just around the corner..

I definitely hate Manila traffic! Traffic here can make even the most peaceful person angry. Traffic here always makes my blood boil and sometimes, it destroys my day. There have been a lot of times that I am always late for meetings etc because of the relentless traffic even if I got out of the house 20 minutes earlier than usual. There are also days when travel time from Quezon City to Binondo takes almost 2 hours. This is almost the same travel time when I go from Binondo to Tagaytay. I just hope the Manila mayor do something to lessen the traffic. Maybe they can ban the buses and jeepneys that are always the cause of traffic due to their parking and stopping anywhere anytime. They even stop suddenly in the middle of the road sometimes. My goodness.

i have been living in manila all my life and as much as i am not happy with the things i see, i think there is nothing much i can hate with the place that "took" care of me. I love manila as a whole and the people in it. There are a couple of items in my list that i do not like though and would want to be improved in the next couple of years from now. some are as follows: 1. traffic - yeah, i do not hate traffic but i hope it improves so we can have more personal time than to be early on our way because we expect an additional 30 minutes or so of travel time. 2. police visibility - yeah, when you go about your day of traveling with in the city there are a few police men doing their rounds, many theft and robbery happens because there are no police to be always ready. 3. pollution - yeah! this is one huge problem that i have lived with almost everyday. i feel as though i am one with the smoke already. give me a minute outside in the street and i smell like a gas pump on fire. i wish this is to be well taken cared of and that cars with smoke belching should already be not given a permit.

There are many nice things in Manila as a fact but there are also things that you don't like so I am asking what are the things you don't like... Many Filipinos from the provinces dreamed of going to Manila but when they get here, they regret it because here they need to rent a place, can't get a job here, buy everything and the prices are expensive here...I like it here since I grew up!

The one and only thing that I hate about manila is the traffic problem. Traffic piss a lot of people daily. It changes their mode from good to bad. It gives bad record from employee to student because they are late on their work and class. Many people had tried to come-up a solution to lessen the traffic in manila but none of them succeed. Maybe discipline and cooperation from the people who lived and passed by in manila will takes the traffic off.

the truth is i havent been to luzon specially to Manila. but with people talking about it they said that manila is already so overly populated and pollution is already building up a whole lot of damages to the atmosphere. its noisy and you are always in a hurry as not to be on traffic during mornings on going to work and on going home. and the risk is totally high.
