i can't understand why people are vegans. Believe me you, religion come with man. man always got something to say and they will be always someone who will listen to him no matter how erreousnous he is. People like Adolf Hitler come up with ideas and they bought it. In Afrtica you get this so called leaders blaming whites as imperialist who are responsible for their suffering and people rallies to them. well. maybe i might be wrong because everybody gotta a freedom of choice in life but can somebody tell me how this thing vegan come about.

from what i've heard of, it's not exactly a religion so there's no God or belief in a supreme being involved, just commitment to eat veggies and veggies alone. never ever stuff their face with anything that has a face. LoL. they're probably practicing because they believe it's healthier, more natural, and more beneficial in a lot of ways

1) a diet with loads of vegetable is unquestionably healthier 2) no killing / hurting of animals. PETA would love that. 3) growing vegetables is environmentally healthier than processing meat and inorganically raising animals

Veganism is an extreme form of vegetarianism. It's extreme in that people who are vegan do not use any product that came from an animal - no fur, no leather, no milk, no cheese, no butter, no honey, etc. They believe that if it came from the animal in any way, shape, or form, it is still ethically and morally wrong to take it from the animal. Even if it is something like milking a cow - a cow needs to be milked - it is still wrong. I'm not aware of any religious practices that include veganism, but I do know that it is supported by People's Ethical Treatment of Animals, or Peta.

There are many religions that practice vegetarianism, such as Seventh Day Adventists and Hindus, but I am also unaware of any vegan religions.

If man was supposed to be strickly a vegan, he would not have canine teeth. Humans are meat eaters. Most people do not get enough fats and protein from a strict vegan diet. Some do, most do not. You really have to work at it. Most Americans are not that motivated. They can be vegitarians and make a go at that where they eat eggs and fish etc. G'd put the creatures here on earth for us to use, but not abuse. Eating them is not abusing them as long as we raise them humanely and kill them humanely. Shalom~Adonia
