Hi all,
Rice is the staple food of most Asians.
If you can only choose to take either rice or bread during a day, which one would you go for?
As for me, I would go for bread as there are other kinds of bread such as oatmeal bread other than just plain breads.

it is really a matter of culture now, bhawnam. in the philippines, rice matters most above all other food items. so, most of us will always go for rice over bread.
i understand now why you prefer chapati over rice. that is how you were brought up. because of it, chapati will be irreplaceable for you. likewise, for me, rice is an irreplaceable commodity.

^_^ Howdy ionsquare!....
Rice for me is forever a staple food as being an Asian. For bread for just for a day I'll take it is still a food. But making a bread as staple I think its not practical for Asian.
Bread is not easy to make. It must first have to mix and bake it. As for rice just boil, steam or fry and its an instant food.
^_^ Thanks and Enjoy!.... myLot!....

definitely, i will go for rice. with rice, a kilogram of it when cooked, can provide so many mouths with carbohydrates as needed, with much much less expense. in other words, to be eating rice instead of bread is being kind to the pocket. budgeting the meager income of the family will be much easier to do.
another good reason is the fact that, rice will provide better satisfaction in feeding a hungry stomach. with bread, one feels hungry again not long after having taken a share of bread.
