Self employment could be a lot better than having to work for someone else. You get to decide your hours and stuff. You don't have to worry about whether you're going to be fired or laid off. On the other hand, you have to have the self decipline to keep yourself going, plus if people aren't buying what you're offering, you may not last for very long. I guess you could say that self employment is not 100% safe, but it's a little safer.

Self Employment is when you start up your own business. You're basically not working for someone else. You're working for yourself.

Self employment beats working for anyone any day, I am hoping to venture in that area shortly. I am working hard on coming up with enough money to get it up and going fully.

it is true that self employment is the best one of all. however, it takes so much courage, hardwork and self discipline to carry it through. if any of these three is lacking or weak, the business is most likely bound to fail.
i used to be a regular employee myself. i have worked for both some private corporations and the government, too. the earnings are of course, limited to how much they have allocated to be one's monthly salary/wages.
with self employment, one's earnings depends upon how much and how well one manages and runs his business. the amount of capital outlay will simply depend on how much the person can afford to put in. with the amount of capital that one can spare, he can plan on which business to pursue.
at first, it will require so much sacrifice from the end of the self employed. as time goes, the business keeps on growing. others make it good within a short period of time, others take it much longer. there are some who fail, too. no matter what happens, the self employed can always be successful by pursuing without fail his targets in life. it might require lots of sacrifices and trials, it is just a matter of perseverance in order to make it.
