BE CAREFUL WHEN U BUY AT*BEST BUY*..read before you buy the returning an item

Read The Policies of Returning An Item Before Buyi - It's important to find out the policies before you buy and find yourself in a predicament like my member of my tribe did at Best Buy..they charge a 15% re-stocking fee..even if you are exchanging for another one.

One of my members is very angry, he bought a gps at Best Buy here in canada and wanted to return it to get a better one..what a surprise when he was told there was a 15% charge on the amount of what the articule was worth for re-stocking it back on the shelf..his was 45$ even if he was changing it for another one.!THAT IS HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!!Then she said she couldn't take it back because it was worth less than $200.00!So he called the manager and said he should have been told about the re-stocking fee but he couldn't do anything and to send his bill to the head office and had to wait 7-10 days for a refund. My member said "What! All I want is to exchange it for another one and I have to go through all this!" Never again will he go back shopping there and is warning everyone on the internet about Best Buy..better shop at WalMarts! It may be a few dollars more but at least you can bring back, get your money or exchange with no hassel. So watch it everyone!

hello dancingredfeather thanks so much for letting us all know around here at Mylot about Best Buy's hassel return program. that is awful news to hear about. what is it going to be next? lol you know? and i know what you mean about taking something back to Wal-Wart. and also, Target is good about returning an item back to the store for a full refund. so what did your friend do with the gps? did he return it?, and now has to wait to get his refund back? and the re-stocking fee, isn't that some crap. it looks like instead of re-stocking an item like that back onto the shelf, that the store, being Best Buy, could just send it back to wherever that manufactured the item. and i do enjoy looking around in the Best Buy stores, i have had a gift card to use there in the past before, and if i remember correctly, i purchased an x-box game for one of my son's with my gift card. lol take care and have a beautiful afternoon.

Welocme my friend. I think he gave it back and said he would never shop again there and was going on the internet to warn everyone..the manager didn't like that but he isn't the owner of Best Buy and has his hands tied Try bringing it back and see if you could have a refund.. What they could do like at Walmart if you don't have your receipt, they give you a card worth the price of the item, so you can buy whatever you want. I think best buy will have to change their policy as they don't know how people are here..
