It really is.
I hate swearing, I'm not immune to it myself, but I do try to control myself.
My MIL on the other hand, preaches curse words all the time unless she's sleeping. I'm glad she's gone, I don't have to listen to it all day every day.
My husband isn't much better, but I'm getting through to him to try to get him to stop.
I'm sure I'll be able to quit this habit, it will just take a little more time.
Do you swear at all?

Hi Kris, I do swear - words like 'bloody', 'damn' 'sh*t' . I am trying hard to control it, especially in front of my sister's young kids. However there are times/situations when I get terribly annoyed or agitated, and there goes my control!

I know the feeling, it happens to me all the time.
But there are some people who have no consideration of who's around them, and will swear anywhere even if it's children.

It's not a joke. It does happen, I'm sure a lot of people will reply saying that they do swear. Even my boss does and I never thought she would.

i was raised not to swear. my father will scold us if he hears us swear. the first time i learned how to swear was in grade six, with the word sh*t, but you can make swear words into more common terms in our country like changing the sh*t into shoot or something and when im angry or frustrated, i say shoot instead. i know it is not nice and some people still feel it is bad to swear but i am used to it because i hear a lot of people swearing as their means of expressing themselves, they do not really swear at people but use it like an expression like my gosh, OMG, etc.
