There are some things that I won't buy used. I won't buy things like underclothing. I don't know that I could ever wear underclothing that someone else has worn, and done their stuff in. That's just way to gross for me to bear.

This is your preferance. Not everyone is willing to buy used on things. There are just some things I don't see the point in buying brand new, especially when you won't be using for that long. There are plenty of things I would much prefer to buy brand new, while others I can get away with buying used.

Dear Sunrise.May be you can get hold of the second hand things that are used with great care and and worth buying. We don't have that opportunity in our country.People tend to mend the old things and try to use them to the last.So the chances of buying good used things are very bleak here.

I love buying second hand things, but i draw the line at used undies . If I can't buy those new . I will go without . I also wouldn't want things you wear in your hair , unless you could really sanitize them , then it might be okay . Shoes is another thing . I wouldn't want to wear shoes that were worn down by someone else .

underclothing! as much as i don't understand why some people would buy used underclothing, i am at a loss at why there are people who sell those in the first place!

I can't understand that one myself. I'm sure the people who donate those think that they're clean, but you don't know these things. Unless, they're in packages when they're donated, then they'd be clean, but why wouldn't the store people just leave them in the packaging.

I've never thought about pots and bowls, but then I've never gotten those used either. All the ones we have were wedding gifts.

Definitely not used underwear. And I don't buy used clothes, shoes or caps too, not sure who the previous owners are. I'm worried about skin infections and stuff like that. .

I've never had any problems with buying used clothes, but then I always washed the clothes before I wore it, or let my kids wear them. If there was anything on the clothes, the washer should have gotten rid of it.

I also would not buy used underclothing. Shoes is also on my list. I worry that I will get atheletes foot or some other fungal infection. Those are probably the only two things that I will absolutely not buy used.

I usually buy my shoes brand new, Not because I don't want want to buy them used, but because it's really hard to find something I like in my size. I have big feet, and it's hard to find anything used in my size, much less what I like.

I agree. I can't imagine why anyone would want underwear that anyone else has worn; that's just gross. I have bought a used bra, before, though, and it didn't seem too gross to me at the time. I won't buy certain furniture used (like sofas, mattresses, or any kind of furniture made out of material), because I'm a little paranoid that it is infested with something weird. I can't really think of anything else right now, but I'm sure I'll come up with more later. Good question!

I agree with not buying a used mattress, at least I wouldn't buy it if I didn't know where it was coming from. If I knew where it was coming from, I might buy it. I still would prefer to buy it relatively brand new.

I won't buy used electronics most specifically cellphones. I learned my lesson before when i bought this second hand Nokia phone. It was defective. I was just glad that i was able to exchange it for a new one plus extra cash. I won't buy used briefs too! Lol!

I agree with you, I wouldn't dream of buying used underwear, to me that is just disgusting. I have bought seconds of nice underwear, Victoria's Secrets, Hanes etc., but they were new and still had tags. I also wouldn't buy a used matteras from a second hand store, I don't even want to think about what where it has been or what has happened on it. But if if it can washed and sanitized and I really want it I would buy most other things.

I am a little funny about buying things used in general just because you just don't know where they have been. I have had places call begging for donations of used stuff and they take everything, including old makeup. That is just so unsanitary.
