Is the grass always greener on the other side?

Are all situations inherently equal? Is there anything where one option is the "better" option, and is there ever any "right" answer?

I think the grass always looks greener because we are only seeing the good part, when in reality there is good and bad in all situations, there is another saying no-one knows what goes on behind closed doors..I think we just have to appreciate what we have in life and stop looking over the fence because things are not always greener there...
