I enjoy getting a massage but can't afford right now. But yes they are good for you. A luxury is something that you don't need and everyone needs to be able to relax and it helps stop some depression as well. So lets see four drinks at a bar or a massage? For me a massage. You have a good day.

Sometimes I think massage is a luxury. I mean you can live without it, however on the other hand it does help to relax you so you don't have to take medicine or have a drink in order to relax. It is just all how you look at it.
I personally have never had a professional massage but have always wanted one. Right now I am so broke that getting one would be out of the question. However once I am back on my feet financially then I think that I would like to get one.
Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

Hi Sophie!
I do not think that going for body massage could be termed as luxury. We all need body message to strenthen our body muscles and for better circulation of blood in our body. I believe it is a kind of exercise for our limbs and if one gets an opportunity for body massage of if one can afford to spend money for body message, one must go for it.

oh I totally believe massage is beneficial but fitting it in to my tiny budget is the toughest and so far I haven't been able to do it but I think about it constantly and hope to set aside 50 dollars so I could have even one session--yes, right now it feels like such a luxury because I have a habit of putting my kids wants in front of my own, mommy syndrome

It's only a luxury if you can't afford it to be part of your regular budget :)
If people can afford body massage, then they should avail it because of the health benefits it entails. It's not only about relaxing for a couple of hours but of relieving the muscle tension in our body. It's another way of taking care of the bodies that serve as everyday.
Thanks for the response on my discussion!

I've never had a body massage and probably never will. I don't like ppl touching me unless it's my Hubby. I also don't like going to public places and undressing and wearing a towel or robe around. Some ppl like it and find it relaxing...not me.

Everybody is different in their own ways. Maybe your husband needs to learn how to give you a massage if he doesn't know how to do that. Cheers

I agree with you. But I don't have a body massage because I am afraid of it since I can't help laughing:) Therefore, I prefer to have a facial treatment. Usually I will go out to have the facial treatment once a week. I feel comfortable and relaxed and sometimes I even fall asleep.
I love China

It may seem that its a luxury but a body massage once in a while is not bad for health. Its been a long time I didn't get a body massage as my former boyrfriend is a nurse and used to give me a massage.

Hi Sophie,
It is all mind illusions what you called a body massage. Personally, I would say that body massage is absolute beneficial for body and mind as well. It can't be called just luxury but one must understand the true meaning of it. Of course it is expensive that's why some people called it for luxury but the true meaning for body massage is of course cure as it not only assists weight loss but also improves and increases blood circulation and the flow of tissue fluid. Massage helps to create a calm state of alertness while reducing mental stress. It can create a calmer mind, and increases the capacity for clear thinking. It is relaxing and allows the body to release stored stress. More and more people are looking to prevention and alternative solutions in healthcare instead of invasive procedures or medications.
Thanks.

Well, I think it depends on individual's budget for the expenditure. For me I love whole body massage, but I won't simply spend the money on it. Only I feel that I want the massage then I will got for it.
For sophie_dfuss's case, I think it is reasonable to go for body massage once per month. Sophie, you're really taking good care for yourself and doting on your body. :p Good job!!!
