Whats going on with all these pop ups?

I just clicked to answer someones discussion and right after I clicked the respond button a bunch of really (gross) pictures popped showed up on my computer screen, of course I immediately closed them, but I'm trying to figure out why they appeared out of no where, I have a pop up blocker, but it didnt seem to work
Did any of you ever receive any strange and gross pop ups while on mylot?

try to enable pop up blockers found in most browsers..they are very handy...

You should keep your security tight in computer because when you connect to the internet, you can get easily be infected by malwares or spywares. There are a lot Internet Security which includes antivirus and firewall. Your browser should also have a pop-up blocker. As for your current situation in your system, malwares are running and eventually if it connects to the internet, it runs and slows your computer.

You probably have a virus/malware of the sort. These create pop ups even if youre not connected to the internet. It's also possibly that your popup blocker isnt very good... which in general they aren't. If youre using the default internet explorer/firefox popup blocker you might want to download a more effective one online. But... I would recommend cleaning your computer first. Check out all the anti-virus threads in myLot. AVG anti-virus is a pretty popular free program.
