What makes a quality discussion?

Hiya, I've been a member of MyLot, for a few weeks now, and I was wondering what you think makes a good quality discussion. What things do you think you should add to the discussion, and do you think every member should upload a picture to their discussion to make things intresting? Loads of memebers say that discussions should be a few lines long, do you think this is true to get the maximum responses? What do you think? Thank you for your answers + happy mtlotting :) -xx.
