pickwick you need to avoid letting your dress submerged on water too long. Also don't add powdered detergent immediately on it,curling too hard during washing can also remove the color of your dress. Dont use strong detergents or wash powders too they can damage the color of clothes. Pick those which are mild, and also dont put it out under the sun, you should hang it on a cool, dry area, strong sunlight can damage the dye used on the dress. When you iron it, iron it inside out, meaning iron the inside of your favorite clothes. Well those are some simple tips i can offer, based on my own experiences of washing my own clothes.

Hi pickwick! so far I know you have to be aware of the nature of the cloths you would wish to wash or get washed. There are some cloths which do not need a long period soaking and some are there which can not stand the direct sunshine for drying. Therefore select the alike ones and separate and wash separately. so far I know all sort of cloths would get faded soon if you opt to dry then under the direct Sun. So put them in the shadow and let them dry that way.

Hand wash it, dont put into a basin of water and soap for long minutes. Just wash and hang it but dont let it hang under the sun. Just keep it somewhere it can only dry because of the air, in you terrace maybe. I do that to all of my office clothes and its effective. Even my black pants are still good. Try it, happy mylotting!
