Do you have an opposite opinion to others?

Some time ago my friend told me that she found The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was so boring. Frankly, I was surprised to learn it as it seemed it's a famous movie anyway. But perhaps famous movies can also represent that they are too complicated for others to understand. Finally last night I watched this movie but it made me cry badly. Oh, it's very touching. My friend could rate this movie down, but I gave it thumb up.

IyIt happens to me all the time. Especially with movies. Romantic comedies make me want to go on a killing spree. While a good action film makes me happy and calm.I didn't want to see benigamin Button because it isn't my type of film. I think I am the only person who was old enough to se E,t. and didn't. IIt seemed too sweet for me. Some Happy endings make me angry so i stay away from them. iAnd isn't just movies. Most people like bright sunny days but I like gray rainy days.I am always opposite.

Hi youless! I have seen the preview of that movie "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" but I haven't watched the entire movie yet. It seems a very interesting and touching movie. I am planning to watch but will wait for it to be released in the DVD since I really am much comfortable watching it at home.
Take care and have a great day!

Tastes are subjective Youless! For example, I like light romances, entertainers where you should doff your brains while you see the movies, musical fims, and unrealistic ones.I do not like art films generally, because a lot of patience is called for.I like films with good powerful dialogues and sometimes a bit of melodrama in old historical classics.I have varied intersts here and many a time I find there are other people who have different preferences.

we all have different opinions on such things and one of those things are movies. i am not a fan of watching dramas... i am more on an action movie and comedy movie. i also like to eatch history like the vinci code and national treasure. i am not sure if my wife can force me to watch benjamin button. but in movie is just like food. sometimes we eat a certain food that other people will not like. for example the sushi.... you love sushi and i will not go near those kinds of food. same opinions on movies aome will love this movie and some will hate.

dont worry i treat my wife as a queen for he treats me like a king. if i want to watch a movie she watches it with me even i know that she dont like it. and i do the same. i watch the movie she wants to watch. when we do that sometimes we ended up liking the movie we dont like to watch. for example hugh jackman's movie the prestige. i was quite bored at the beginning and like it when the story gave a twist. and she on the other hand enjoyed watching die hard that we end up watching it over and over again. so i will sure be patient to watch benjamin button if we get a copy on dvd... we dont know... i might end up liking it.

Well, I have not had a chance to see this one to see what my opinions are on it, but I know when it comes to Movies there are many times I find my opinion is different from someone else's. I have a friend that her and I movie tastes always differed and it got to a point I never wanted to see anything that she enjoyed watching even.

Everybody is unique in their own way... others think out of the box, which is also the same in giving an opinion. Others might like it or not, there's always a good and the bad side. I have not watch it yet but I will try soon.

Every one of us has its own interest and different opinion about something or somebody. You may like something which other don't, your opinion may be at the positive side and others in the negative. On my part, it always happen to me having a different opinion, but having that difference should not be taken personally. Ones opinion remains an opinion which every one of us must respect. You may either agree or disagree, approve or disapprove and believe it or not believe it. Then again, one should not force someone to agree, approve or believe to your opinion or perception about a certain thing when it is contrary to his/her own. Open mindedness and respect must arise and apply.

each to his own, you might be wanting a chocolate ice cream and your friend loves vanilla, same to movie preferences... maybe she prefers to watch another genre... not everybody appreciate a single type of movie... not even the highly regarded ones...

Everyone has his or her own opinions of things.
And not all the time they will agree the same on the same thing.
For example, the Blare witch Project, the reviews were so good and so good when the movie first came out.
But when I went to watch it, I cuss the day the movie was even written as a script!
It was horrible, from the way it is filmed to the meaningless story (if it even had one) and the terrible acting! I could have done better with a camcorder myself.
But reviewers who writes regular columns in the review pages are praising it all the time!
Something that I could never understand.
So it is not surprising that you and your friend have different opinions on the same movie.

Yes I do, quite often I think different from other people. But I don't really argue with my friends, we just express our differences calmly and let us understand each other more *smiles*. I think it's interesting to have different opinions, otherwise, the world would be such a boring place!

i guess people comes with different taste with everything..like in movies people thought of it boring maybe because that wasn't the type of movie they enjoy watching..while others find it amusing because they enjoy watching those kinds of movies..

its all about how long you have been watching the movies......if you are regular to tthe english ones even if it is so complicated you can follow it......i don prefer watching movie sidelined by the same story ,there must be an certain unique story based on which the movies to be built .....

I think every movie has a certain personality that they cater to. Maybe it would be best if you ask someone who has a similar personality like yours so that you will know if you will surely enjoy the movie or not. My husband is not much on the conversational type of movies too, he likes the ones with special effects and action. hehehe

I've discovered with movies that my taste NEVER matches that of movie critics. Movies they LOVE I usually HATE and movies I love they usually grade something like C or D. In my opinion it is so subjective, not everybody is going to love every movie. There are so many different genres and characters and tones of things. I do want to watch that movie you mentioned, I think I'll enjoy it.

I have seen The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I was not keen at first because I thought the whole concept would come across unrealistic and a bit silly, although I do love Brad Pitt.
I cried from the first scene and it wasn't always because it was sad; I was just so emotionally affected by it for so many different reasons.
By the end of the film I thought it was one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. It was so well made and well acted and so believable!
I would recommend seeing it.Thumbs up from me too!

It's good to have friends who have different opinions. The world is a much better place when people share different views and tastes. Even when you find people who enjoy the same movie as you, they may find different parts appeal to them more. It's good to have friends who share your interests and more so with friends who do not share your interests.

It is not surprising that different people have different perspectives on the same thing, even though it is good in most people's eyes. In my opinion, it is really a good movie, at least many Oscar nomination has prove that. A lot of things in this moive impressed me a lot, the curious story, the beautiful music, the mother love, and it is indeed moving. I am not a hot fan of Brad pitt, but what he did in this moive was really good, his action deservers the nomination of Best Actor in the 81th Oscar. The moment when Benjamin left Dassi and their little girl is the touthest moment in my mind.
