Shrek: The Musical

As many of you know, Shrek has been adapted into a stage musical currently on broadway. They've added a bunch of new characters but still stayed true to the plot. It's doing tremendously well. I want to see it badly! The cast is amazing! Broadway legend, Sutton Foster is placing Princess Fiona. Brian D'Arcy James is Shrek. I would list all the stars involved with the show but that would take forever! What do you guys think?

Wow! I didn't know Shrek had been turned into a musical. Thanks for the update! I really loved the movies, particularly the first 2. Do you have any idea who wrote the book and lyrics? Is the story based on the first movie alone or did they somehow put all 3 movies together? It's just too bad I'm not from the US, it would be really nice to be able to watch this. I'm curious as to how they'll portray Donkey. Guess I'll just have to wait for the soundtrack. :)

David Lindsay-Abaire did the book and lyrics. I beleive it's based on the first movie. The soundtrack comes out on the 24th of March. Chester Gregory plays the donkey :] Also, you can go to www.shrekthemusical.com for more information. It's doing extremely well on broadway.
