This is a photo of my "guest bedroom" in my basement. It is used for stoirage for the most part. Or as I call it, my "toss it in that room". It has almost everything except a bed. Holiday decorations and lights, exercise bike, blankets, a clothes closet, TV, shelves, furnace filters and a whole lot more. Do you have a spare bedroom that can not be used by guests for any reason at all?

No but my garage sounds like your spare bedroom. hahaha It was pretty much cleaned not too long ago but now it has a lot of empty boxes in it from Christmas and other purchases. And a freezer and washer and dryer are in there. Oh yes and my husbands and my sons golf clubs. There is a lot in there.

I've a 2 car garage and can only fit one car inside due to the junk I leave lying around. twice a year I get it cleaned out. Spring to get all my garden satuff ready, and fall to store that away and get the winter stuff handy.

I have it in reverese, I have room for a 15 year old daughter that does not live with us, she only comes over about twice a month for about 12 hours. Her room has been intact for the last 10 years but since she is only around on the weekend we use it during the week for storage of stuff then thursday night we move the stuff out.

At 15 why is she not home all the time?
A divorce situation or what?
Just curious is all.

yes should have put that in there, so if from my first relationship. i have been remarried for about 9 years and she is / has been a big part of our lives. She used to come over every weekend but no she is busy with friends which is a good thing I would rather her be popular and having fun, then sitting at my house friday and saturday nights.

I don't have a spare bedroom unfortunately AGB but if I did I can almost certainly guarantee that it would be a lot fuller than yours! lol My other half tends to throw everything in the shed, the kids play shed or the loft - I would hate to see the inside of any of those now! lol xxx

I've got three bedrooms in my house that can be used for guest bedrooms, but they all do tend to collect clutter. I have to scramble like crazy when I get company to clear out all the stuff. We also have a whole upstairs of the garage finished with a living room and bedroom and a really nice balcony, but no one has opted to stay there yet.

no bed in your guest bedroom? you should call it a stock room.. ehehehehe.. just joking!!.. anyway should purchased a folding bed just incase you have an actual guest in your place and if not and then should fold your bed and keepit under your bed..at least you don't have to change sheets every 3 days.

I have one bedroom that is a guest room with a bed, tv, and dresser. The other bedroom that is also on the main floor has no bed thats where I have my treadmill.
In my basement I have 3 bedrooms with on beds when my kids all moved out they took there beds with them and I just never got anymore beds. All three bedrooms in the baaement all got storage in them, and most of it belongs to all my kids that stored stuff in them and never came to pick them up. oh well,, when they come to visit one gets the bedroom with the bed, the others sleep on a blow up bed or on the floor.

We have a spare bedroom and it does have a bed in there. When my mom came to live with us several years ago, we put a bed in our guest room. Since then we have had a few other people live with us and use that room. Right now my almost 91 year old grandma is staying with us and using it.

I'm staying at my daughter's home for now, and it is a 4 bedroom home, one is very small though. They have their bedroom, my bedroom, a bedroom that is our scrapbook room, and the other, smallest of all of them. There is a futon in there, along with a lot of boxes, christmas decorations, etc. so if anyone wanted to stay in there, well, hope they can sleep sitting up! lol cause the futon.....is in there somewhere!

You ask me about the car fitting in the garage?? Is that what a garage is for??? I learn something new every day. hahahahahaha No, that is not room for the car and even if there was it would not be too good of a deal because the garage door opener control don't work, so it is easier to walk out front to the driveway and get in the car or Gary in his work truck and go from there.

I have a full basement, 4 windows and rather cheery. I also have 2 spare bedrooms when my mom is not here and hers has a bed in it. So that leaves me 2 rooms for guests. I have 3 good blow-up mattresses, sheets, blankets, etc. I haven't been in my house long enough to accumulate much stuff and so far there is a place for everything--I hope to keep it that way! So I have plenty of room for guests if I ever have any other than my kids once a year.

Yeah, I think we all have at least one of those..heehee. We have a three bedroom house, but only two bedrooms are sleepable, we have a bedroom that has everything under the sun in it but no bed. I've often wanted to clean it out and clean it up and start using it as a guest bedroom, because my husbands friends come visit during the summer, and one of them always ends up having to sleep on the couch, I hate having to do that to them, because whenever my husband goes and visits them, he has a nice place to sleep. The only thing is, if I clean it out, then I won't have anyplace to put everything..haha.

I don't have a basement, I do have 3 bedrooms I have made one into my computer room. And it is junky, I have papers, and everything else in here. I try to keep it organized but that is impossible. I don't have many guests mostly the grandchildren. In the computer room I do have a futon that can be let out into a full size bed.
I like your extra bedroom even with all the stuff in it.

Hi Grandpa Bob! We do have guestrooms that can be used by guests anytime. The guestrooms used to be the rooms of my brother in law and my sister in law but have been living in other countries now. So we have converted them into guest rooms. And they have beds ready to be use too! LOL!
Take care and blessings to you!

We have four bedrooms, but now we only have one son living at home, so one of the bedrooms has become my husband's office and is full of computers and crap, and the other bedroom is a spare one for when our daughters come home to visit. When we retire and move, I'm hoping to have less bedrooms! I'd love to have a basement or an attic - they are not common in Australia.
