LOL, well that's certainly a costly addiction. I don't have that addiction, considering I don't have a cell phone - but maybe if you realize how much money you'd save if you stopped doing that - you might actually stop. Phones aren't cheap! And I'm sure you could put that money to better use.

Hello taran! I actually don't have that habit..My phone has been with me for over one year and I don't have plan to change it yet. Aside from I couldn't afford to change cellphones every night, changing my phone would be the last thing on my mind now..

I change phones all the time but it's not by my choice, I have to because it breaks, or I drop it in waterm or I sit on a touchscreen...It sucks but I do find a lot of joy out of getting a new phone even though I have to pay for it without ever getting to resell my old one ha. Right now I have a japanese phone and although when it breaks I have no one to fix it for me, it's pretty cool having a phone no one else has and works very well.

hello,taran.
I havent the same addiction as you. For my opinion, cellphones are only used to keep connection with my friends and family,so I never treat cellphone as fashional instruments or gameboys, just a tool.
Now I used blackberry, which has no digital camera and other amusements.
I think I would change my cellphone untill it was broken. LOL

My cell phone is a gift from my hubby, and its 5 years hence, but I still use it because I love it and I love the person who gave it. Although he bought again a new one and told me to replace it, but still I use it vis a vis the new one. Its my daughter-in-law who change phones every new style is in store.

Happy posting.

Definitely a bad addiction especially if you feel like you're either wasting money or spending too much (which is also of course, a form of wasting money) :P Fortunately, I don't have such a habit.
I stick to my phone until I feel the NEED to change it - the last time I changed it was middle of last year when I just knew that I needed a simpler, smaller phone for work. I gave up a GPS-capable, Wifi-enabled phone for a slim, simple phone :P I don't have any plans of changing it this year. It actually still looks brand new!
Thanks for the response on my discussion!

I don't have an addiction about changing mobiles, my SIL does. Every time i see swap and exchange their mobiles. I don't know what is the reason behind but they do that to their mobiles a lot.
I am a person with sentimental value about things that is why i don't seem to replace mobiles easily specially if it is a gift or given to me by my loved one.
My mobile that was given to me by my dad, i am still using it and i am not yet into a decision on replacing it. If i do have, then i have to earn money first before deciding to let that mobile be put to rest. Happy Mylotting!

hey taran..
*laugh* it's not an uncommon addiction. I know a few friends who are also into the new phone models. The showier it gets and the more feature it has, then I can expect that they will have that new phone with them before it even become common among peeps.
I'm not the same though. I had current for about 4 years now. The only thing I want from it is that I can communicate anywhere at anytime. And I can use the camera if something interesting catches my eyes. The convenience of a cellphone on emergencies, work and even personal purposes are the only reasons why I bought a good cellphone lol
This is actually the first phone that I had purchased in my own salary so it has a sentimental value for me. I am taking well care of it though I had dropped it a lot of times. I hope it will not croak on me before this year ends though lol

..nah!! i dont usually change my phone every once in a while coz there are a lot of things i put on my phone for examples are the notes i had put on my calendar, the pictures i have taken, the messages that i love to save, the deathnote sticker i put at the back of my phone, the deathnote sticker on my battery and many more.. to those guys that is addicted on changing phones, i suggest that they personalize their phones and put on some important things to make it more valuable so that you can avoid changing it..

When this high tech gadgets first came out everybody get addicted to it. And count me in, count me in numbers of person who feel this kind of addiction. I have lots of text mates before but now that I am married I don't use my phone that much. Before I can't leave our house without it but now I am just leaving it in our room and not using it except for emergency.

No way, no how. I hate switching my cell phone. I'm not a gizmo person. I do not care if it's the latest, coolest technology. I want something that does what I need to do. I want something that is easy to work and that I know how to work all the functions. I want something durable. I get my phone set up with my contacts and the other miscelaneous applications on it and I'm happy. I only gave up my last phone because the charging port literally fell out of the phone and I couldn't charge it anymore.

I don't change my mobile much. I only change it, if: It's broken, if there is a good deal, or if I am offered a good contract.
