Do you run to write the first response of the discussion?

haha I don't rush to write the first response. Sometimes I deliberately wait to post sometime later as I am curious to what others might say as sometimes, the first response might set a trend and what follows may be on similar lines. But this sounds like a great idea! I will start doing it from now on. lol I think we would find plenty of them at the no responses tab. Keep racing!

yeah,I just run to write the first response of a discussion and hope thisdiscussion will be "today's top" soon ,but the fact is that it must be a hard work--the discussion you fist respond will be "today's top" or"hot" .So the question is how you can find the potential discussion that will be "hot" in the near future,i think there must be "secret "here & worth exploring ^……

NO now.Earlier when i joined here i was running to do that.Also i was going to discussions with no responses and answering them .Now am not like that.If i find a discussion and i have anything to say,i will response it.Otherwise i will just read the discussion and response then move to another one.

Yes I like to respond whenever there is a easy question so I always ask easy questions too and I sometimes like to be the first that will respond on easy question.

Yep, I do that. I am pretty interested to write first response of discussions. At the same time I will respond only if I am interested in the discussion and not just for the sake of responding. Yes, i hope that sometimes it will turn turn at the 'today's top' column.

Hmmm, I never thought about that. I know that I don't exactly race to be the first to respond. In all honesty I usually don't even read the other responses unless it's a topic I'm really really interested in. For the most part I just read the initial post and respond to it with the best of my ability. That way I can respond to more posts. I did however read the first post on this page, just because you said so, and I liked that the person mentioned that there was a no response page. To be honest I'm really new to this whole myLot thing and I didn't even know there was a no response page. Huh, learn something new everyday. Is there some kind of benefit from being the first post? Or being the first post on a topic that has hit the hot topics list?

It doesn't really matter to me if I am the first responder or the last one since I would basically express what I have in mind irregardless if that opinion of mine has been repeated I don't care that much, I think we do agree and have same opinion to something at times. Another thing, I don't copy either someone's thoughts here in mylot which has been posted since I would honestly post what I have in mind.

I don't run for first response and I won't hesitate if I am the first to start it.At least we want to register our thoughts and opinions here.So,I don't bother about the number.If I see a post that can be answered,then I will,even if it is marked best response already.Cheers!

Yeah! we have the same attitude. Haha... But it depends also. If I see a discussion without any response then I am going to read it first then If I have some ideas to share then I will respond. But If I don't know the topic I will just ignore it. Happy mylotting..

Actually, I do! I love writing the first response! I hate it when I post my response only to find that someone has done that already :(

I actually don't like to be the first response. I don't know why, but if I see a discussion that I am interested in replying to I will usually wait for atleast one person to post a respond before me...then I'll go ahead and lend my two cents. I really don't think about the whole top or hot discussion sections. I just like to respond to discussions that interest me.

I didn't do that delibrately,because I must know how to write the respond before posting it and whether the discussion attracts me.But your idea and behavior is interesting,and if you always want be the first one ,you can take a try on no response tag.Hope you enjoy staying here!

no i never run to write the first response..i have a little laidback approach actually i see what others are writing and then post a comment to someone as well with whom i agree or do not agree.

Haha. Well it's kind of flattering when I get to write the first, sensible response to a particular discussion but i don't think I'm "running" at it ... You know?? And whenever I'm the one who gets to post the first response, it usually just happens by chance, not because I planned it that way or worked hard at it. Good day to you!

Hahaha, I really don't mind if my response isn't first. Doesn't really make a difference to me. If you always want your discussion to be on top, here's a tip, always go to the no responses page, your bound to be first there!
