How do you manage those 24 hours you have been given so far?

I got to ask this question, because I think I live my life in bad time management... I wake up at 5, working at 7 in the morning to 17:30-18:00 in the evening(off-line work; traffic time included), spending 3 hours family time and till 23:00 to 24:00 at night lurking the net. I sleep 5-6 hours a day... How do you spend yours? Do you satisfied with your time management.

i will be p at 6 am... after a sleep of about 6 hours. my preparation for work will be an hour, 3 hours of travel and a total of about9-10 hours at work. and another 3 hours to travel back home... i would have to yet again prepare for a nice meal before retiring to bed...

You seem to be spending your time better than me. My sleep time is all screwed up. I go to be extremely late such as 3 AM and wake up around nine or ten. That's probably because I don't have a job yet. It looks to me like you're a hard worker but also manages to spend time with family. You're managing your time pretty well.

I used to keep that kind of schedule. Worked 80 miles away from home (one way) so was up at 3:00 a.m. to be on the road by 4:00 a.m. and then back on the road home around 5:00 p.m. But on call or managing special projects in the IT field 24/7. Got maybe 4 hrs sleep a night. Did that for 10 years.
I am retired now and realize how much time I missed with my child. The money was pretty good but I will never get that missed time back. If you have any other options, find it. I know that I will never get past the guilt I feel for not being there for my daughter while she was growing up.
She has a really good work ethic now and says she understands but it doesn't erase the guilt I feel. Amazing where we place our priorities when we feel pressured by society.
