What is your basis in choosing friends here in mylot? I usually request to be friends with those who post discussions that I find interesting. I make then my friends so that it will be easier to find their discussions. I don't want to just randomly make everyone my friends (though of course I have nothing against everyone else) but if someone invites me to be their friend, I do not hesitate in accepting their invite. how about you?

No basis friend, people send friend requests i just accept, but if they ask me to join some site under their referral link, i just delete them..
Thanks for sharing.
Welcome always.
Cheers.

I understand, I would probably do the same except that I don't want to offend anyone so I just ignore their invitations to their sites. Thanks for sharing your thoughts

i dont have any basis. i just accept anybody who send me a request. or i send a request on poeple i think has the same views or nice to have discussions with. so i accept anybody and everybody. i turn on all notifications and response to all the discussions they have as long as i know what they are talking about. but when i feel like they are not responding in my discussion i delete them. for me it should be give and take. so if it is just me responding at their discussion and them not doing that share i delete them. i used to have 400+ friends now they are only 200 something.

really? you actually delete them? sort of like de-cluttering your friends hehehe do they get notified if you delete them as friends? I was thinking of that also but I am afraid that I might offend them if I delete them from my friends. Nothing personal, just want to filter my friends into those who really share the same interests that I do.

I guess some people would indeed expect you to follow them and respond to their discussions, especially if you are the one who added them as friends. I didn't really think that it was a requirement though. I would add someone because I liked a few of the discussions that they have started and am pretty sure that their next discussions would be just as interesting but not that I intent to respond to all their discussions.

If i like their profile and the way they give response to discussions are the main criteria i see while accepting their friends request.I haven't requested that much but get lots of requests at least one everyday these days.Almost all of them i have accepeted and the people who requested are very decent to me.Also i see their activity ,it they are new i will wait posting few more posts.Because lots of the new comers i have accepted as friends stopped coming here.I dont like that kinda friends.Happy mylotting.

I know what you mean, they would add you as a friend but they will not be posting discussions anymore or responding to any of your discussions. It's like they disappear right after you add them as your friend. I think it would be a lot better and easier to respond to discussions if those who are my friends are also active here in mylot

I have no basis in choosing my friends here in mylot. It's alright for me to be friends with other people here. Everybody is welcome to be my friends. All mylotters that will send me a friend request will be accepted. Happy mylotting.

I want to be a friend of those who respond to my discussion. Their reply shows that at least, we have something in common. For the same reason, I would like to befriend members who started discussions that I replied to. I also requested members from the Philippines to be my friends here. Since we are from the same country, I am sure we have lots of things to discuss.
I never turned down anyone who requested me to be their friend though. I believe it is great to have lots of friends with different background because this will expand your one's horizon more.

I agree, it's a lot easier to find topics that would interest me by simply looking at the topics that my friends started. It's nice to meet people whom I have something in common with and it's a lot more fun to respond to discussions that interests me

i do not choose friends in mylot. haha actually honestly speaking, anyone who adds my in mylot i sure add them. it keeps my discussion dashboard open for people who may have contributions to the site and i like to visit discussions started by friends and so... i have and can see many discussions that i can answer to. ;)

that is a good way to practice english, mylot is a good place to practice because everyone here has to communicate in english. I hope your english will improve more as you keep on reading discussions and responding to them

I have no criteria about choosing friend. If a persons responding on my discussions I will send friend request to them. But at the time of accepting I saw if they are active then accept their request otherwise not.

I do not generally send a FR to any one unless I am sure that the one I am sending has enough responses on his profile. You see I do not like people who start a dozens of discussions every day but do not care to respond. I also never leave any post where I do not respond in my discussions.
