I love eating fruits. And it is getting very warm now, so I am going to be buying more fruits during this season and the season to come. But lately, I have started to think more wiser and smart about how I buy my fruits. I love eating nectarines, black and red plums. I also love eating peaches, apples and pears. But, I notice that these type of fruits are usually opened out in the grocery store. A long time ago, I would buy them when they were not wrapped in plastic. I would go home and wash them really good and I would eat them. But now, I am considering not buying these fruits like this anymore. I thought about it, these opened out fruits are too exposed. Someone's hands could have been on it that was not clean. Hands can be dirty and have many germs. It is bad that we can't see how all of this fruit is actually handled in the factory before it gets placed in the grocery store. So, now I decided to take the smart measure. I will buy all of my fruits wrapped up in plastic. This excludes, grapefruit, kiwi fruit, lemons, oranges, tangerines, limes and any fruit that has a peel. I am a bit picky about how I buy my fruits. So, I prefer to have them wrapped in plastic. And yes, they come wrapped in a small square plastic foam container. I will buy it this way to be on the safe side. How do you feel about eating fruits that sits out in the open? Would you eat them like it is? How do you like to buy your fruits?

open out fruits anyday . The wrapped ones may be hygienic , but thats not the way fruits are meant to be . The nutrition that you can get by plucking one directly from the tree and sending it down your threat can't be found anywhere else .

Hi cream dear! I buy fruits that are wrapped in plastic but I also buy those fruits that are not wrapped in plastic too. However, I only buy fruits in the grocery store which has a good reputation for quality and safe produce.
Take care and blessings to you!

Well, the most important thing is to wash the fruit always before eating them. Remember that when they are in the tree before you they are pick out, they are exposed in the open. Though displaying them in the often most especially along the roadside would exposed them to dust and other things. Well, as a general rule, wash things first before eating.

I definitely prefer sliced fruits wrapped in plastics. I do not buy fruits sold on the streets and I am particular with regards to food. I usually buy in the grocery to be sure that the fruit is clean though not fresh sometimes.

Hey cream! That is really a good thing to think about! I had
never really stopped to think about how many people tough the
fruit when they are displayed and you have to pick through
them! It is true that even before they get to that point that
they have been touched by who knows how many people! Then
once they are displayed in the store and people are picking
through them they are touched by who knows how many people
again! Ewwww! What an awful thought! But, they don't package
that many different kinds of fruit in the plastic! They only
package a few different kinds! Now I don't know if I will
ever buy plums or peaches again!

It really doesn't matter to me because I always wash my fruits and vegetables with a little bit of soap anyway.

let me put your mind at rest always wash fruit before you eat them ,as an ex fruit picker fruit that has been handled alot is marked and bruised no one handle fruit at all because they cannot sell it.Wrapped fruit is expensive and then you have to throw the wrapper away and have you thought about the effect plastic has on the fruit, you are far better buying fruit that is unwrapped beleave me.there is a knack to fruit picking with out handling to much apples and pears are picked with the palm of the hand or they bruise and are worthless, strawberries ,berrys ect are picked by the sprig or they squash.Think about it if the fruit is wrapped it is handled more before you buy them.once of the tree ,packed in boxes for the shops. The wrapped fruit is handled more as they have to be put into these plasic wrap boxes.Buy your fruit unwrapped and wash it don't be fooled by a plastic container that has to be disposed off in landfill and they don't bio degrade I do hope this clears it up for you from someone that knows.
