Would you rather live in a quiet village or busy city?

Which one would you prefer? A quiet village with nothing, need to drive to go to any places OR a city with lots of convenient things?

I think I would prefer a busy city with lots of convenient things nearby like the mall, the post office, the grocery store, the banks....etc. Though I very much like quiet village but for convenient sake I would prefer a busy city. Because I am the type if I go out on errands, I would like to do everything one shot and once I reach home I would not like to go out again. Though staying in a busy city might be noisy but for me once I enter my apartment unit and shut the door, it's away from the outside world. As for noises of bus and vehicles I am fine with that. But I think I would buy an apartment in the city that is high up like somewhere in the middle floor and if it's above a mall would be even more convenient. Currently I am living in a suburb which is about 1/2 away from the heat of town. Even that i hardly go to the heart of town. I would go to another suburb which is 15 minutes drive and get all the errands and stuff done there.

I would have to say I would choose the busy city... I need to be close to things, not that the idea of living in a quiet village doesnt sound great and peaceful, I just hate thinking of having to drive and drive to get to a place that I need to buy things. I guess if I had lots of money and could order things on the internet and would get things weekly....then that would be fun...LOL but mostly right now I would have to say the busy city...

I would like to live in both. I would like to have a flat in city and some small house in village. SO when you need something that is better in city you just go to live in your flat for couple of days.

It will be cool but it needs lots of money to own two properties.

I live in village now, but I used to live in a big city. I moved to a village about half a year ago, and it took a while for me to adjust to this kind of life, but now I like it very much. I enjoy the peaceful surroundings and the beautiful nature. My fiance and I have many pets and we plan on buying even more pets in the future, and that is one of the reasons why we enjoy living in a village in the countryside. Of course there are also good things about living in a big city, there are lots of things to do in a big city, there are shops, restaurants, cafés, schools, museums etc, and when you live in a big town all those things are close to you, and in that way city life is more convenient.

your life sounds pretty cool living with lots of pets in a village. I like this idea too but I still want to be alittle closer to the big city at the same time... Thanks for sharing!

I think in many ways I would like to live in a really small town. It's nice to have so many amenities close at hand but I think it would be great to learn to live without them too. I think I wouldn't mind living in a tiny town that was within driving distance of a larger centre. As attractive an idea like living in a small village is I would have a hard time adjusting to a lack of Wal Mart. I could get used to the idea of not being able to run out and pick up any little thing my heart desired but I can't imagine not being about to stock up on things like laundry stuff and paper products!

i like to live in city only as it is has many facilities .one thing i bother when i live in village is about health.if we don;t have health facilities in village and if when in any urgency,if there are no facilities in village, how can we recover from health in village .in urgency ,we have to go to city, which will be too far away from village.in this transport time ,anything can happen, life can also can be gone,so i prefer to stay in city only. and in city we can get good food and new varieties also . i like beauty of village also, but if all facilities are there , i will stay there.

I guess it would depend on how hard it is to get to where I need to go to get what I need. If it's 50 miles to the nearest town and it's a rough trip and transportation is an issue then I'd have to live in a convenient area. If at the same time the quiet village had a daily bus that went say 10-20 miles to the nearest big town and it was a decent trip that I didn't mind then I'd rather live in the quiet area. Hello! I am born and brought up in a city.So I am quite conversant with city life.I will feel suffocated if I stay in a small village for some days because in a village I can't get the advantages what I am getting in my city.First problem will be electricity and TV network. These are not available in all the villages.Besides I can't get my news papers daily in time.In villages medical and schooling facilities are not available. The village people largely depend on the cities to avail better opportunities. So I would not leave my city at any cost.thanx.

We used to live in the middle of the city last year. We had the comfort of being near the city wharf, airport, market, malls, and many establishments. I could say life was its most convenience. I live about 10-15 minutes from the city now. I'm quite adjusting to the limited transportation, the proximity of stores and shops, and I had to deal with bugs I have never encountered before. But I love the peacefulness of the place, and the feeling of being close to nature.

to me i would want to live in a quiet village. first if i were to live in a quiet village i would want a very good weather like breezy, partly cloudy and cool. second i would want to live someone that i love and we can spend the rest of our lives living together in peace. lastly the quietness and beatiful scenery would bring peace solace to eyerything around me but that would never happen but to me i would want to live in a quiet place

I've lived in an area where both are present. A quiet peaceful little subdivision with lots of trees, and a few kilometers ahead is the big city. I have a bit of both worlds :D

heh If I had a choice I would prefer the quiet village with lots of greenery, waterfall, animals and an internet connection (lol had to sneak that in . ) I would miss the partying life but I think I would be quite satisfied to live in the quites of wilderness with my loved ones. I have a goal of making good money to have the necessary facilities and settle in some place that is really natural. I think that is where I get to discover the other facets to me.

i was born in a quite village and grew up there.i didn't like there even it gave me life.it is poor.the development is very slowly.until now it has no high way and no modern facility. the place i was born in and the place i live now is different very much.even both of them are villages.the later is nearby the high way and some new cities.it is convenient to live. but live in a big city like shanghai and shenzhen is also my dream.

Both are required in every man's life.To lead your life, its necessary to stay in a city but on the other hand when you feel mentally disturbed, you would feel good to be in some quite place like a village.

It is exactly where I live. I would prefer living little closer to the big city though like 10-15 mins drive away, that would be perfect!
