what did you do on the first day of 2009?

umm i remember i drank the day before.. my best friend was up for the weekend so we had champagne.. i dont remember what we did the next day so we prob just hung out around the house

It snowed but I honored my great grandmother's tradition. She said to do three things: leave the house (otherwise you will have a sloth-like year and not accomplish much), help others and be productive. I left the house to go the grocery store (which was an adventure because the roads are still mostly unplowed).The second tenant of my superstition was to help others. I donated $10.00 to a homeless organization founded by my social change colleague Utah Phillips. I also lent money to my assistant so she could get her phone turned back on. The third thing is to be productive. I did that by posting and writing. After I did all of that I could peacefully watch a Monk marathon which I enjoyed.

As I had stayed up till after midnight I slept in and then I think we watched lots of tv

My family and I was on the road the 1st day of the year. We were driving from Missouri to South Carolina and had stopped new years eve night in TN to rest for the night and give the kids a break from being in the truck. We hit the Mountains first thing New Years Day morning.

Hi Vimal, shall I tell you what I did? I just went to the market and bought half a kilo of chicken and feasted all alone for neither my wife nor my sole son eats meat. Now I tell you why did not I boozed and went over myself. I know the 1st day of the year 2009 is not different in anyway from other days.

umm.. let me think! i remembered the first day of 2009, i stay at our kitchen to eat the left over food from new years eve celebration. hehehe i love what my mom cooks for us that night. it very delicious! my family went to church in the morning then visited some of our relative to wish them goodluck for this year. then i went home to sleep because i have work later that night. :c but i enjoy the eating part of that day!
