This is a really good discussion because games are a good source of enjoyment and fun, especially if you are really bored,or if you have nothing to do like on those really rainy and cold days where you do not want to even leave your house for any reason, and that is cool that you have always wanted and X-box 360 d I think buying an X-box 360 would be a whole lot cheaper and I know that they have the Arcade, the Pro and the Elite X-box 360s and they all seem really awesome if you ask me,but me and my fiance have a Halo 3 Edition X-box 360 that we bought from Wal Mart.com,and if you want to buy a X-box 360 I would suggest ordering one from Wal Mart.com because most Wal Marts have Site to Store Pickup so you do not have to pay the shipping, which is always awesome, and plus Wal Mart always has the best prices, and if you do get an X-box 360 I would recommend the game Halo 3 because it rocks, have a great day, good luck with your life, and all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.

Well like you said there are 3 choices. Arcade, Premium, and Elite. As far as choosing a console it highly depends on your needs and what you currently have. All three consoles now have HDMI outputs so a HDTV will be compatible will all. The Elite was the only one prior. Your saying you do not want Live connectivity then the Arcade will suit you just fine. The current price is $199.99. It includes the Xbox 360 console, 1 wired xbox 360 controller, a/v cables, power cable, and i think a few free arcade games. But one of the BEST things about the xbox 360 is the online. So if you think you MAY decide to have online functionality in the future i would choose the premium, as it includes a 20 GB harddrive, high definition a/v cables, headset, wireless controller. The Elite is history. It did include a 120 GB harddrive and the exclusive black exterior, but is being replaced with "special edition" 360's: IE; RED resident evil 5 bundle. If you can still fine one...its one of the last! Future bundles will come out, who knows what packaging they will have. Good luck with your purchase, your going to love it no matter the decision you make!
