Perhaps you have stumbled upon "The Secret" via DVD documentary or its book or internet.
It teaches the Laws of Attraction, in which "if you really want something, and truely believe it's possible, you'll get it." by just following the steps:
1. Know what you want
2. Ask the Universe for it
3. Feel, behave and know as if the object of your desire is on your way
4. Be open to receive it and let go to the outcome.
Would it really be nice if this is true? Or is this just wishful thinking? And if it is true, would it contradict our morals and religious teachings?

This could go against many religious people, because we ask God to supply us with what we want, not the universe, and I'm religious, so it goes against me! I simply cannot belive that if you "feel" happy or sad, it will trigger some chain reaction which can cause some magical door to open, it's just a freak coincedence! If you visualize, think, and fell strongly about the object, you wil have nothing but imagination to take you through your fake world, it's like having an imaginary friend, it can't work and I'm sure that it doesn't work, but there are secrets in life, which by the way, doen't have to find our way to us via t.v! The secret to happiness could be instant mood swings, or low anger issues! That's what has kept me happy for all these years. And I'd also liike to share something with th eMy-lotters here, 4 years back I prayed only once to my God for a new computer game "Madagascar" to be in my possesion, which I knew wasn't very possible because we hardly ever went to the computer shop and got ourselves a new game and because most games like the one mentioned weren't available in my country, and within 4 months it was in my hands with, then 5 years back I prayed for a trampoline, my parents couldn't have afforded such an expensive toy, but the best part was I never even told them I wanted a trampoline and there it was, after a short period of 1 year, in my bedroom. I could go on and on till this day, Miracles may happen, but only through God,
Happy-Mylotting!!!

The so-called laws of Attraction is nothing more than magnetism which attracts and repels. Use that and it could work for you. You may be unconsciously attracting the wrong kind or repelling the good kind. Cheers!!

I think you have to want something bad enough to get it. this can not be done half way you need to pour yourself in, so on that level i believe the rules. The problem is there are outside forces that can smash to pieces any of these dreams and goals and no matter how hard they try you just cant reach it.

Yeah, I believe so too... I'm a Bible believing guy, and I believe that God shall give you want you need and sometimes what you want if you ask and have faith. You could move a mountain even with a faith as small as a mustard seed. But as Bible teaches about faith, it also discuss some morale codes or commandments. True, it want us to enjoy an abundant life, yet it doesn't want us to be greedy, and materialistic.
Cheers!!!

I have a friend who is a huge fan of The Secret and has watched it many times. I think people want to believe they can have control over their lives and create happiness and prosperity but some of these same people don't understand that they engage in negative thinking and behavior that blocks them from getting what they want. They don't understand that things aren't as simple as only dealing with these four steps.
