I have been having a sore back an painful neck... I don't know if it is mainly because of the mattress or there has something to do with looking at the computer monitor side ways all the time. And I tried to only sleep on the bed without the pillow, it didn't help.
I have a massage thing can make my back feel better but I don't know what to do with my neck.
Do you sleep on a soft mattress or hard mattress? I used to sleep on a hard one, it could be why I'm suffered from this new soft mattress now.

Well, try applying heat on the sore areas. It helps in relieving the pain.
What I do is to stand under the hot shower for a long time. Much to the ire of the rest of my family members when I hog the shower like that!
Try elevating your legs when you sleep. It helps with the sore back as well.
If you can, fold a blanket and then place it on your back when you sleep to "force" your body into a more natural position when sleeping on the soft mattress.
As for neck pains, other than a massage and a hot shower to relieve the pain, I know of no other ways.

I like a firmer mattress. I have always had a really firm mattress in the past, and I recently switched over to a softer one. Ever since switching to the softer one, I sometimes have problems with my back bothering me. I think it is because of the soft mattress. I don't like my mattress to be really hard, but if it is pretty firm, then I think that works better than the really soft ones. The really soft ones don't seem to offer as much support. I hope you are able to fix your problem!

Hi!
I has been scientifically proven that soft matresses cause back pain as people who sleep on soft matresses have sore backs! :*( This happens because the columns in the spinal cord slide off each other causing a really bad pain! Hard matresses are just as bad! People who sleep on hard matresses can too have back-pain, since, ofcourse the matress is too hard, but I recommend medium matresses (not too hard or soft), they are just right!! :)
I think you should buy a matress that doesn't make you sink inside or stay afloat :) Buy one that soothes you just find, soft matresses may be tempting to sleep on, but our spinal cords have another opinion.
Take care!
