How much you suffer from the current Recession ?

I haven't suffered in reality. My investments are down, but I still have a job, a home, food on the table and I'm paying bills and buying what I need, so it hasn't made any real difference in my life. How long it will last is anybody's guess. "Experts" don't know - they didn't even see it coming, so how can they know when it will end? I suspect it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

I'm crossing my fingers that it will end any time now. It doesn't really affect me directly, but it affects my family & friends. I only work part-time at a store, so they couldn't possibly cut my hours down to any more than what they already are. It doesn't have a huge effect on me, although a lot of people I know are having their hours cut and such.

I suffered too but not because of my own fault, my brother in law and his zeal to get rich quick schemes have left whole family in a fix. He borrowed 10,0000 rupees from people and invested them in the stock market and when it crashed he suffered the loss and now everyone of creditors want their money back. He had no money so we had to part with our savings to help him out so now whatever raise our government has given in form of arrears is all gone and we are still left with our meagre standard of living. As a family we had to help him out but its really too much of a burden now. AS I helped him when he was studying too and when he got a job he fought with me and my hubby now when he is in need suddenly he remembered us. But anyway what's been done, its over, I just hope its the last time.

Really bad, I have a seasonal job. I normally work 40 hours, but this year we are working 30 hours. It's really causing a financial hardship.

well i am affected a lot due to recession mainly bcoz of mobile bills as a result of increase in taxes.

maybe it could get better afetr 2010, I think. In china, so many people are suffering from the lowering doe\wn of the salary. It's also difficult for the companys to develop foreign market recently, this is the opposite with the last few years. Most seriously is the unemployment in China, so many factories are shut down, for there are less of the orders....

It hasn't really affected me TOO much, except my hours have been cut a little bit back at work, but that's not a big deal to me. I don't MAKE very much money to BEGIN with, and when you don't have money, you really can't LOSE any.
