Well, in my opinion, it is a no no. Why would people call it "cousins", it is because there is a relationship in some ways, either related through the father's or mother's side of the family. In Chinese tradition, yes, a cousin can even get married to another cousin as long as the relationship is on the mother's side only ie. my mom's children can get married with my aunt's children. To me, I would allow making love with a total stranger, I mean, not related in anyway. Cheers, Cest_moi

im a catholic and i its not prohibited in our religiion. and i personally believe that it is wrong. i dont even think of doing something like that with my cousins. :D

Yes that is indeed a taboo in our present culture. One because they are still blood related, if not from the mother side it is from the father. I hope your friend would just stop this habit of theirs. Some people just love to to do something different that makes their lives exciting.

cousins are a nono... no matter what..... i know in muslim culture... muslims are allowed to marry cousins.... i think its to keep the family money and business within family.....

There are many societies in this world which allow marriages in between close relations like cousins. Muslims is one such and in Punjabi society which migrated to India from Pakistan at time of partition ( so u can say they came from Muslim dominated area so their customs they still believe) it is not unknown that you can marry offspring of your dad's sister. While in Muslims in India ( atleast) the first right on a girl is that of son of dads brothers son. For me this is downright incest. I would never ever even think of it.. Leave alone cousin even any girl of my village is not to be seen with Lust. This is what should be because i come from a very small village and we trust each other a lot and if we lust our own village girls then the trust between families would be lost.
