Plan B

Just saw a commercial for it on TV, and there are ads for it in women's magazines. It used to be you had to get a prescription or go to a planned parenthood clinic to get it. Now you can go to any pharmacy and ask for it without a prescription. What are your thoughts on Plan B? Do you think it's immoral to use? Unlike the abortion pill, you are theoretically not pregnant when you take Plan B. Some of my friends think it's not different than doubling up on birth control pills if you forget to take a dose. Interestingly enough, a guy friend of mine thinks it's totally immoral to take Plan B. What do all you say?

I think that if I was raped I would take the plan b pill. but I also know that there are people who would rather take the morning after pill than other forms of birth controll.
Your guy friend has a point. If the egg has already been firtilized the plan be pill terminates a pregnancy. There is gray area here, no heartbeat but still possible firtilization.
I feel that it still has a valid use, but should not be a primary source of birth controll considering how easy it is to get traditional preventative methods.

I agree that it should not be a primary source of birth control, especially considering the cost. I was curious, and my local pharmacy charges $50 for Plan B. Quite an expensive birth control method if that's all you rely on. Thanks for the response!
