I checked my earnings here. I have made $0.42 this month and made $1.66 in February and I made $3.77 in January. I find myself reading a lot of discussions but just do not know what to put and leave the discussion without even responding. Mainly because I cannot think of anything of quality to say. That is suppose to be what your answers are. I will admit I have answered a few without leaving really quality answers. This site just seems that it is not what it use to be though. Just wanted to share this with you all.

It's not easy, but you do make the money.
I've made $1 so far this month, and that's only from about 4 days of posting.
I figure if I'm as active as I am this week, I'll make my payout by the end of the month, which is $25.
It's easier to post discussions sometimes, if you have ideas of what to post, then it's easy to do so.
Over the last couple of days I've started more topics than I have in the last 3 years, or so it feels.

I just am not near as active as I use to be. So, I suppose you have set your payment up and instead of the $10 payout you have set yours up to $25? I go through the stages like you are talking about but when you start so many and get so little responses it is kind of like depressing and makes you wonder why you even try. That is one reason that I have not been on here near as much.

I haven't been active much either, but am trying again, and that's why I'm earning a bit more now.
I try to get my post count higher by 20 points each day, although it's not that easy since there's not always that many good topics to reply to. Besides, I can't be full of good ideas all the time to be able to post a ton of topics.
And yes, I just set my amount to $25 today, gives me more incentive to post more often so I can reach my goal sooner.

Look at the number of my posts.
Just over 1080.
I checked my account today and saw how much money I have made:
$10.06.
That's how much money I have all together since I first joined mylot!
It takes alot of time to reach payout!
I don't mind, since I enjoy mylot.
I changed my payout set to $25 and then soon when I make enough money I'll change it back to $10. :)

I am 548 and that goes to show that the amount of money for participation has dropped a lot. I have $6.37 right now and when I last was on before I got to get back on I had over $9 and only like 300 or a few more posts. So the participation amount of money has went down since a year ago when I started.

You made a quality discussion right here! I think it's the same as all writing - push yourself too hard and the thoughts don't flow. Try starting a few discussions yourself, on any thought that crosses your mind no matter how trivial. It doesn't matter if you get 0 replies - take a look at the box on the RH side. It says 'similar discussions.' Go to them and relate the thoughts that led to your own post. Before you know it, you'll be following links every which way, and coming up with quality content to earn you those precious extra pennies!

I read alot more than i post on here myself. Seems to pass the time, but I do enjoy posting. There have been plenty of times I have read discussions only to go, well, I don't have anything to say to that. I often find myself trying to think too hard to find something to post about and it takes the fun out of things here. So I just pass it up, and move on to something that I can find to post on. I always try to put my best into each answer, but end up writing a ton and feel like a goof ball, because all the other responses are short, sweet and to the point, but as I read, you should give it your all, and post quality answers instead of just posting one liners. If your enjoying yourself, then keep doing what you are doing, it shouldnt be about earnings anyways.

Yes, you are right it is not all about the earnings here. I do enjoy myself on this site. It seems that when I get on here sometimes though I have writer's block. I am a talker and love talking but at times just cannot think of anything. Then there are those discussions that I do like you said and write a ton. I suppose maybe it has to do with my mood. What annoys me more than anything is when I have like six responses and when I get to one I can't think of what to put. I do not want to leave people out but feel there is no sense in putting anything if it is not something good.
I have even read some discussions and even read every response and then leave and look for another one to go to. Sometimes I do that all day and never respond to any of them. Keep giving it your all and posting quality responses.

Well, from what you posted in your above discussion I now know that the number next to our names is an accumulated total of our posts where as I thought it was just refreshed every month. So thank you for that as I am obviously new. I too have only made around the same as you this month and am worried that I might not make payout in time this month:( I sure am gonna try though, even though I don't know when the deadline is? To you I would say don't give up. Try Try Try!! If it is important enough to you then you can do it!!! Good Luck!!!

Yeah my interest levels have dropped significantly here. When I first started I really enjoyed it a lot more. I did have some problems though that kind of annoyed me here. My last computer would not let me on here. Every time I would put in the address it would say that the website address was not valid. The computer had real issues. But I could not help it until I got another computer. Then when I got back on here my money was $0.00 and when I last logged on it was over $9 so I was upset. But I have tried to get the interest back.

Hi there Susan, it is not all that difficult to make a post in response to someone's discussion. Don't let the quality bit hold you back from writing something. I think what's important is the substance. What you share can be something factual, an opinion, knowledge you have about the subject or an experience you had previously. The rest is how you organize your thoughts and articulate your points into something presentable, and the quality will take care of itself. I'm sure there are some discussions you can relate to, and so if you think you can contribute something, then don't hold back. Think of what you want to pen like a conversation. Whatever you want to say to that person, just translate that onto paper and you will likely end up with a nice and presentable response.

hello susanshayavon
i have found that i make a different amount of earnings each day around here at Mylot. like this afternoon, i could sit here and respond to thirty discussions and then tomorrow afternoon, do the same thing, and both days earnings amount will be a different. and you can make more than that around here at Mylot. be active and try to respond to at least fifty discussions a day, and start a couple of new discussions as well throughout the day. i promise you that you will see a big difference in your Mylot earnings if you'll do that. good luck to you in earning more extra money around here at Mylot. and you can think of something to write around here at Mylot when responding to somebody else's discussions. lol
take care and have a beautiful afternoon.

I have been having a little more difficulty in reaching my activity goals as well, lately. I don't know if it's that discussions just haven't been catching my eye, or if it's that I'm being to picky, or if it's that I feel like I am responding to the same posts over and over(I really don't want to do that). I figure that I will just keep doing my best and go with the flow. I am hoping to make payout this month, but i'll have to pick up the pace to do so. Good luck to you.

Wooh, maybe you are busy with something to get online. And i think you are choosy to reply which forum you will participate that is why you said, you can receive your very first pay at the end of this year?
I think it has something to do with motivation. What keeps you going in this site anyway? is it because of friends, the pay, or the discussions posted here. I think i do get motivated by what i see in my progress earnings everyday. I admit, i stick around here for 5 to 6 hours just to get the amount i want.
I set a goal for myself to get a certain amount. I started here Feb. of second week, but then thanked God, aside from the internet connection problems i got and a midweek vacation last month, i was still able to get my very first payout before the month of February ends, i earned $10.82. This what keeps me motivated till now. But this month, i am aiming to get more than $15.00. I have to challenge myself, or else, nothing will happen. Happy Mylotting.

I am new and have made $2.00 in 7 days which is fine because im just typing in my spare time (which is random and few). I too have the problem with reading over posts and trying to put into words whatever I am thinking or being able to respond to them at all.
Well good luck on your yearly goal! :0)

Hello SusanShayAvon
It seems to me that you earn much more than me. I am a newbie and my earning now is 0.90. I think it is much better than other earning money sites around. I know you may depress when no one responds to you, but you can find someone to reply to, some of the questions here are asking for advice. If you have your opinion, you can share with us. It is also funny, and it can be helpful.

People are different and there are a lot like you who have stepped into this kind of dilemma. So you don't have to worry at all as long as you are enjoying what you do then I believe that what it all that matters now. Just let it flow and just speak what's in your mind and what comes out in it. I just came from a long lay off and I found it difficult to start my way out here again but then I just keep on writing and responding. The next thing I know, I got 0.33 cents in my first day with just under 20 response I made.

I think you respond to topics that you can relate or topics that interest you. I reached my first payout in less than 450 posts but I have an elaborated response always, maybe a discriptive one it's because I like the topic. So I don't respond to discussions I can't relate to. Otherwise I don't know what to answer as well. It took me 2 months and a half to reach the pay out, now am making it in two months. My goal is making to the payout monthly. Time is so limited, however that at present had to worked double time in order to do so.

I made an observation last night where I responded to discussions 25 times and had 27 cents credited to my account. None of those responses were chosen best answers so I'm guessing it's about a cent per post, meaning I have to make about 1000 posts to reach 10 dollars. It might go faster if I had best answers, made a good discussion, better quality and the like, but generally a thousand posts would help you reach payout. Seeing as you have 549 already I think you're halfway done to payout. Good luck :)
