"Live each day as if it’s your last" Great sentiment. We can think of each day as our last or as perfect. My perfect day would be spent with my family in a beautiful natural setting with a picnic basket full of delicious goodies. How would you spend your perfect day?

Hi paula, I do feel this way. You know if we treat every single day as the last or perfect day we then would really cherish it. I love my family very much and I always feel happy if we could get together. It doesn’t matter what activity we have, as long as we could spend our time together
When my son is back to our hometown during his holidays, we like to go for jogging, watching movie, eating out, etc together. We always have the never ending topics to chat with.... even though the same stories are repeated numerous times... Therefore we usually would stay up late.....
Take care and happy posting

Thanks very much for the prompt response. You are a good discussion creator and you still take very good care on this topic though it’s a 11 month old discussion And I really appreciate the ideas sharing again here
Yeah, I agree that nothing is more important than our loved ones. Therefore I always value every opportunity and moment we possess
Have a nice day!

I would spend my last day with all my children and grandchildren. We'd be in Austin, Texas, my hometown. We'd spend part of our day on benches in the outside area of a barbecue place. We wouldn't do anything special--just eating and spending time with each other. For me, it would be perfect.

Yes, I agree with the quote that we should live each day, as it is going to be the last. We should thoroughly enjoy each and every moment our life, which the Great God grants us, because we never know what is going to happen next moment. Like-wise, we should not procrastinate the events because future is hidden. I try my best to live and enjoy each moment of my life, as there is not going to be any tomorrow.

I think that if I knew it was my last day I would probably gather up my favorite people and go to the beach and get the most expensive hotel room and throw a huge party... Go swimming on the beach and in the pool at the hotel and go dancing, just live it up and have a good time with the people that I love the most. That is how I would want them to remember me.

If I put "Today is the last day of my life" in my mind. I would basically do nothing at all. Just spend all my time with my family. Whats the point in doing anything thing else if I will not be alive tomorrow. To me "Live each day as it it's your last" will stop the world from developing any further.

I can see what you are saying there. Perhaps live today as it was you last day is great, but there's no harm in checking your diary to see what's on for tomorrow! You have made a good point, it's our over all existence that counts. I appreciate your response!

hi
yes its rightly said, enjoy the life as if today were the last day.enjoy the each moments of life to the fullest, whether its good or bad.there's always a ray of hope even when we are in the dark phase of our lives.
we get life only once ,and we need to properly utilize it.life is short to hold grudges and happiness & sorrows are always part of life.
happy mylotting!!!!!!

I would differ here if you do not mind. Yours is the carprdium theory that the late 17th century metaphysical poets like Andrew Marvell and the likes followed. For them the morrow is uncertain and hence try to mane the best of the present moment that is within your grip.
Even Omar Khayam the sufi poet too had the same philosophy. But personally I really do not cope myself with this philosophy though had tried to. I realized that the foundation of my today is based on the unseen tomorrow. Whatsoever the condition I am optimistic of the morrow and hope to complete the journey I am destined to and the time is not yet arrived.
Thus there is no perfect day as I feel each day is a perfect day for me as I completed it with my existence.

I would probably spent it with my family in an island with laughters.
I would probably tell my daughter that i love her so much and I'm so proud of her.
Tell my mom that I was lucky to have her, not the other way around and tell her that I could not have made it this far without her
Tell my hubby that I am blessed to have found him and I don't want him to be lonely.
I would call my best friendand thank him for the real friendship we shared.
Lasty, Id have to tell them I'd like a chocolate cake, fruit salad chicken and pizza.

Well I know it's encouraging but I can't do it coz I know it's not my last day if no accidents, lol. Currently I just want a holiday in the beach, hahaha, to see the sea for the first time in my life, laying in the sands and sunbathing. Get up really early in the morning to see the sunrise and play with the sand in the daytime, and at last I'd sit quietly, maybe leaning my head against my bf's shoulder and then we watch the beautiful sunset. Isn't it rommantic and perfect?

This has been my principle in life : Live each day as if it's your last. Actually I first heard it from my high School teacher, from then on it has been my principle.
Whatever I do, whoever am with I always make sure that it will be one of the most memorable moment I have. I make sure that each day I bring out the best in me, even though there were times I get so tired also but the moment I remind myself that what if it today is your last day??

It's great you learned this principle at a young age, it took me a lot longer to be aware of the importance of living each to the fullest. Thanks for the response!
