I said to her that she made me happy.I just was pondering over the line for a long .
"If I can make one person happy every day of my life, then I've achieved much"
Imagine if everyone of us try to do this how wonderful and cheerful the world will become.

That is indeed a good perspective. It can bring about the betterment of people's wellness. It is also quite a challenge to do that. We interact with a lot of people everyday of our lives but we only get to be with them for just a short time in our daily time. If we could manage to make at least one person among that multitude of people, then we would be making the world a better place. More so if the ones that we managed to make happy were also trying to achieve what we have done to them to other people.
It is easier said than done and of course it is no easy task. But if we make at least a bit of effort, over time, we'll be good at it that we would already be doing it unconsciously as a part of our daily routine.

It is a wonderful thought Bala, but how difficult it is to achieve?
THe world is full of so many people and even many who have legitimate reasons to be happy are dissatisfied with something or the other. On top there are other hindrances too . This being the case, it is rather difficult. So, what she said is absolutely right .One person a day! My God! very tough indeed !

I entirely agree with you there, my dear friend. It's simple to make somebody happy... you don't even have to step out of the door. It can be done via the internet, a phone call, or a text message on your mobile phone. It only takes three words, and one small action to make somebody's day, and to make them feel good about their life. Of course, if you can get out there and give somebody a real hug, then all the better. Hugs are a great medicine!
I try to do it with more than one person a day, but you're right... if every single person were to put aside a few moments of their time to cheer one person's day, then the world would be a much happier place.
Brightest Blessings.

Hi bala, never a truer word said. Each day I try to make someone smile even if not in words, I have 2 dogs and have to walk them it nice to meet other people and talk and make them laugh or smile, or even just to smile at someone I don't know and see them smile back normally it is a genuine smile...that one smile lights up the day..what a good discussion...LoLo (littleowl)

Everyone should read Random Acts of Kindness by Danny Wallace. There's masses of ideas, but it's so much fun thinking up new ones.
Let someone out at a busy junction, smile on the bus insted of staring into a newspaper, leave a coin in a phone box or trolley, buy a coffee for the busker or bake a cake for a neighbour and leave it on the doorstep. I think my favourite is putting a packet of colourful flower seeds through someone's door. It brightens up the recipient's day today, and everyone else's when they grow.

It's so true Bala. Spreading happiness is a selfless act and can certainly bring about a lot of cheer in this world. We must be determined, take the example of your wonderful friend here and give it a start.
The line is indeed an inspiration.

Well, I do agree balasri. If we could do such a thing that would be very wonderful indeed. In fact if we could make a lot of people happy, it would be the most wonderful thing to do. But even for just a single person, you can surely make a difference.

It is true that people can influence each other effectively. There is often someone who lightens up the atmosphere in a community. I am not that kind of person, but I try to offer my goodwill by showing interest to their achievements, their kids, their concerns, and render assistance when needed. Not leave anyone in the corner and squeeze anyone to the corner. Share our happiness and wisdom to cheer up ourselves and also others. Life is hard, we need warmth from each other.

We infect the world with our bad humour. If I show my red eye to my employee he is likely to be hurt and this would affect his performance. But if I could throw a smile on him, how elated he would feel? We never or hardly think on these small things.
Yes if I can make a person happy each day the worth of my being is proved.
