Will you talk before brushing in the morning?

Most people sleep at least once in a 24-h cycle. When they wake up, they either feel refreshed or as bad as before. But the point here is that they all wake up with bad breath (lol).
I am not talking about those cases of persistent bad breath due to genes, dental problems or poor cleaning habits. Even if you are a goddess trapped in a mortal body, bacteria will probably congregate on your tongue anyway to lay out mats and have picnics. And after finishing all the coke and chips, all the litter will likely be left where it was. After all, bacteria are not known to be too responsible an entity.
The first thing I need to do when I wake up is to rinse my mouth. I refuse to talk until I have done so. If you want to ask me questions, wait until after. It is not that I am scared of repulsing you 10 yards with my breath alone but I don't want to deal with the taste of rusty cans and soiled plastic wrappers left overnight by the bacteria.
I do know people who never brush their teeth. Well they do brush but they tend to be on the thrifty side. So assuming you do brush your teeth at least once daily, will you talk before brushing in the morning? Yes? No? Who cares?

Yes, I do. It usually happens at home or at dorm, and I just talk with people who I am fimilar with, for example my mum , and my friend. It is discourteous that talking with bad breath, that is true. But, when you wake up, a friend says Good morning to you, what should you do? Wait, after brushing? It is discourteous too, isn't it? So, I choose to greet first, and then brush. If I want to give all the people fresh breath in the morning, I think I had to get up earlist, that was impossible. On the other hand, are there anyone who talk with you in bad breath? For me, I have, and we don't mind it at all. Well, if most of people around you have not that habit, I think it's right for you to insist what you have done now. Everyone wants and tries to give others good impression, but no one is perfect.Happy mylotting!

It's not their fault that their scientists have not invented toothpaste.

Yes, I'll always talk before brushing my teeth, whatever time of day, because I'm the only one here to talk to! Ha ha ha. I don't have the problem of smelling my own breath. However, it does make you feel better to brush, and refresh your mouth.
Brightest Blessings, my friend.

Haha, it's not so much about the breath, I just don't like the pre-rinse taste.

Of course I will! You obviously have no children who wake up so early in the morning it is almost still night time wiz - believe me they will not wait until you have awoken enough to brush your teeth to speak to you or demand answers! It is therefore self inflicted if they are harmed in any way by the bad breath! lol xxx

If I it is the phone that wakes me and assuming there is someone at the other end and not a wrong number, then yes I will talk before I brush. I will also talk even before I get out of bed if that happens.
If however the phone doesn't ring then it could even be the evening before I talk to someone and by then I will surely have brushed everything.
A normal routine is wake, bathroom, glass of water, espresso (real Italian of course and you'll like that ) and then bathroom before coping with what the day brings.
how the heck do you know what rusty cans
and soiled plastic wrappers taste like?

Yes if it is a call, I will talk too though it may irk me a little. Make an appointment first, okay?
Italians are so fussy about taking only Italian thingies.

You put Italy as your country on your profile page so I can only assume you are being truthful since you obviously can read.

Yes, my lord, I will talk.
I understand all about bacteria and its lack of diplomacy, but it really isn't a problem as big as all that for most people. Sure it's nice to rinse as we get up, but that doesn't mean that I will not answer to anyone until I do so.
Bacteria or not bacteria LOL
Haven't seen you in a long time mylord - no wait I haven't been here in a while myself LOL - hope all is fine in your neck of the woods.
Have a wonderful day

Luckily for me, i dun face such a problem yet because there's nobody sleeping beside me.. lol =D MOst of the time, i will already be brushing my teeth before i go to bed, and thus it's not as bad..
But if possible, i will choose to talk, only if i had brushed my teeth.. lol =D It's more hygienic to me, i guess.. haha =D But too bad my parents often had this bad habit of talking to me, while i'm in the midst of brushing my teeth! lol =D

Nah, I wasn't really bothered by the breath since I floss and brush thoroughly before sleeping too. It's more like I don't like the taste of picnic leftovers.

yep i know that breath stinks worse in the morning due to the reasons that you mentioned. but i guess for me, it would veer towards no as well. of course, there are times when i can't help it especially since with a baby, i have to wake up in middle of night to make milk and sometimes, i'd be talkin with my hubby if he's not asleep. but nothing 'harmful' done. hehe
but usually, when he wakes up in the morning, i'm usually up and fresh already since i have to send my older son to school. so i don't have to worry much. but if there's a situation where i need to talk before brushing, then i'd probably answer their question from afar as in standing a little further and then excusing myself to quickly brush my teeth or at least rinse my mouth.

If my mouth tastes really bad, I'll do something about it first thing. Otherwise, I wait.

hi there...
yeah!hehehe!it doesn't really matter..as long as im not really not that close talking to someone..i do use mouth wash before sleeping to kill bacterias 24 hours..
i dont brush my teeth immediately when waking up early in the morning..i do coffee first..then eating my breakfast...then brush my teeth..
brushing teeth before eating looses my appetite.. cause i cant taste the food properly anymore..
but i do rinse my mouth or gargle first before talking...lolz!
thanks!..
keep on posting!..
take care!...

I never really thought much about it. I would usually be greeting my wife in the morning before I head to the toilet to wash up. And that includes washing out my mouth.
Like you said, the muck builds up in the mouth during the night can be really stinky. And I will try to rinse it out before I hold any conversation with anyone.
Not because it will repulse people. But because I cannot even stand my own breath!
But once the mouth is cleaned, it is all right. No more stinky breath!

It is aninteresting topic!
I do talk before brushing my teeth in the morning but I definitely refuse to eat before brushing my teeth! yuck... BecauseI like to talk to my husband in the morning and so does he and we don't mind it. We both don't have awful nasty breath so it doens't bother us.
He doens't mind eating before brushing teeth in the morning though, but I do mind... I think it is dirty and disgusting...

Well it is quite "safe" to eat before brushing IF and provided IF you brush and floss your teeth thoroughly the night before. I think it's ok, that's what I do. If we brush too much, we risk premature gum receding... I try to keep it and cap it at twice per day.
