I know what you mean. My grandparents held my family together. When I was little we had family reunions and get togethers every holiday. We always had family come visit on the weekends or we were going to see them. I had a very close family. After my grandparents passed, it all stopped. I can not imagine why but no one cared about seeing one another anymore.

Maybe your aunt is the hub of this family, and everyone has fun get around her. After her pass away, nobody ever get the feeling to get together ever again?
