What do you mean by trash talk. Like cuss words? I use those, I grew up not being allowed to but then I was in the Air Force and that's just part of life in the military really. (ever heard the expression 'make a sailor blush?') Haha. As a mom I have tempered my words down a lot, and I do try not to use them as much. I asked my mom (who never uses a dirty word) if my words ever bothered her and she said no, that she really never sees me use them much unless I'm really angree and then I just let loose! Haha, she also said that some of the not so much cuss words but more of 'frank talk' as she likes to call it is almost refreshing to her because sometimes when people try to explain stuff to her they sugar coat it so much that she doesn't really have a clear idea of what they are trying to say! Haha. So, I guess it's all in how you look at it really. I don't think it is right to cuss a person and when I do cuss I'm more likely to just let out the string of words and not pin them onto the person in front of me. That's just how I am, though.

LOL yea I've shocked a few bikers in my day to say the least...Especially since to LOOK at me, ppl who don't know me are surprised to hear me rip off a string of profanity when I'm ticked...Its actually pretty funny really

I dont put trash talking (meaning swearing like a drunken trucker etc) and abusing others to be in the same category....I have a nasty mouth at times (more often than my husbnad would like I'm quite sure) BUT the LAST thing I am is abusive to other ppl....
That being said, when one is VERBALLY abusive to another it CAN BE considered a crime and a person CAN BE charged for an offense...particularly when its an ongoing thing..

Its legal status has no bearing on how it makes people sound like totally goofy dorks when they use it.

Yes, trash talk should be considered a crime. I would think so. If they can arrest you for just about anything now, then why not arrest someone for the way that they talk to another. People has such nasty and filthy mouths that it needs to be washed out with soap.. It is a bad habit to have a nasty and abusive mouth. I despise people who have an mouth as this.

i also hate people who abuse others.....i dont know its a crime or not....but i think it should definitely be punishable as these abuses hurt others feelings.....and sometimes when i hear people abusing all the time i just wish i could cut their uncontrollable tongue....but i know i cant do that....so i keep my hands in control....coz i also feel that to take revenge by physically abusing them for their verbal abuse wouldn't be right
