My moms in a nursing home and I need advise

Due to unfortunate circumstances I became very ill and am an only child and had to put my mom in a nursing home. When I get to go see her she is always dirty and smelly and sometimes covered in her own poop. It really bothers me to see my mom who use to not leave the house unless every hair was in place looking like this. They feed them pureed food as they call it that all looks and smells the same. I can't put her in another nursing home because I can't drive that far because of my illness and I want to be able to see her as much as possible. Is there anybody out there that has any suggestions. Please help....
