importance of goalkeeper in a game....

hey what do you think is the importance of a goalkeeper in a soccer game.....some people dont think that goalkeepers are as importance as other players are....is that so???what do you think???

goalkeeper is the most important part in soccer. a team can have great forwards,midfielders and also great defenders, but if they don't have great goalkeepers these team can't be a champion/winner. goalkeeper role very important in the game because if the goalkeeper not in good performance the team could be down. forwards can score a lot goal for his team but if they goalkeeper conceded a lot goal too,the goal from the forwards useless. goalkeeper job very hard. he must make sure that he didn't conceded because if he get conceded it could be a danger to his team.

hey love....you are absolutely correct in saying that goalkeepers are a very very important part of a football team.....but i would like to say that youwere wrong to say that they are the most important.....i myself am a goalkeeper and i believe that the entire team is equally important.....be it the defenders the goalkeeper, the strikers or the midfielders....

I think that the goalkeeper plays an incredibally important part in soccer. They block the other team from scoring, and also keep the team informed on what the oppossing team is doing. Without the goalkeeper, it would be no more than kicking a ball into the net.

you are quite right on this....goalkeepers do play an incredible role in a football match.....and yes they know their skills very well and keep on guiding the defenders accordingly......

Goalkeepers are incredibly important - not only to save goals but also to be involved in the game. An active alert goalkeeper can keep other players involved by alerting them to the opposition player's movements. I believe that a goalkeeper is often the difference between winning and losing. I can't believe that anybody who had anything at all to do with the sport would disregard the importance of a quality goalkeeper

yeah.....many times the only difference between the winning side and the losing side is the goalkeeper.....goalkeepers play a vital role in keeping their teams alive in the game.....
