Why I like Jeopardy and not Family Feud

I used to like both shows, one that I liked for showing how much I know and the other for whether I can guess what is what. However I am not that fond of Family Feud anymore. It seems that it has become a black people against the white people. And of course, depending on who you are you are either disappointed or very elated when in the majority of cases, -I will not go on .
However with Jeopardy, what matters is the knowledge of the contestants, and although they are maybe all High School, College, or adults, there is no division done as to ethnic categories and therefore no resentment if the wrong group wins since it is all based on individuals.
Comments anyone?

You know I think there is enough Blacks against Whites,Whites against Blacks and other races as well going on in the world without having it on tv as well.I never was to fond of Family Fued and I am not smart enough for Jeopardy so I dont watch either but if I had to pick between them it would have to be Jeopardy. You have a great night.

yep yep...maybe it has something to do with political correctness? I dont know...I understand where you are going with this though, and I agree. I like jeopardy better too, because it is as you said based on knowledge...
And I used to like family feud too, but not so much anymore.

The same with me. I do not mind when there is a specific them such as everyone dressed up as their favorite movie star, or men against women, but when one group is lily white and other well not (it seems that the white people on those white against black shows are usually blond hair and fair skinned, not I like I used to be with brown auburn hair) so even with dark hair and brown eyes like Italian or French descent)(I do not like it that much. At least with Jeopardy I know they are chosen for their brains.

I like to see if I can get the questions right and it is more challenging. Family Feud is so boring, just see how many people think so and so, and you do not know whether they are saying it because they really believe that most people eat chocolates on Valentine's Day or whether they say it because they believe that everyone else does.

I haven't watched either of these shows in such a long time I use to love both of them. But I think now that I'm older I would rather watch jeopardy because I like to challange my knowledge.

I love Jeopardy. I just wish I knew enough as the contestants.

I never did like family feud, the questions were very simple and the answers were easy to guess. Jeopardy actually makes one think and you learn a lot from it. FF only lets you know what the majority of people say about a subject while Jeopardy actually teaches you something. I don't regularly watch any game shows but if I did I would choose Jeopardy.

I like something that tests my knowledge. I sort of do not like to be in the crowd, still smarting from that saying of my mother's "if everyone jumped i the lake would you do it as well?" But those final questions on Jeopardy are hard, yet some of them are so easy I wondered why the contestants did not get them.

Family Feud is based on popularity. Jeopardy is based on 1) knowledge and 2) being able to figure things out from the clues in the answers. I like Jeopardy because answering correctly is more a reflection on my knowledge and my intelligence.

I love gameshows, including Family Feud. I had not noticed the circumstance you noted. I like Jeopardy, but Feud and Wheel of Fortune are games anyone can play.

It is shown that way here in Canada. I do not know whether they send them up deliberately because we are supposed to be multicultural, but I would suspect that it would cause more trouble then if they did what they used to do, not worry that one side is lily white and the other side, black or mixed and they seem to choose the later more on their street smarts and the white on well, they are lily white and have no sense of adventure.

I like the game shows that test one's knowledge of trivia. I don't get Family Feud here. I do get Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune as well as Crossword. These do challenge the mind. There is also "Do You Want to be a Millionaire" but it is no at the same time as Jeopardy. My kids like to watch "Wheel of Fortune and guess the puzzles. My granddaughter is pretty good. She guesses a lot of them.

I like Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. We do not get Crossword here. Usually after trying Jeopardy and finding I am not getting the questions, I go do a crossword puzzle to get my brain exercised.

I love to watch Jeopardy every night. I think that I could do well as a contestant on Jeopardy, but it would be hard for me to come up with the right answer very quickly with millions of people watching me on television.

I would be very nervous and my mind would go blank. Besides I am terrible with math and I almost flunked chemistry at school.

I like Family Feud and Jeopardy is on some other channel that I don't usually watch. My comment is that I don't consider Family Feud racially biased. There are black families, white families, Hispanic families and they aren't waging a war. Just because one family is white and the other black -- it just turns out that way sometimes. The survey questions apply to people in general, so that's not a cultural bias. Bottom line: I enjoy it because the questions are fun and the answers I come up with are on the board about 70% of the time.

It seems most of the episodes except for the one with the celebrity lookalikes were divided into white family against mainly black families and for me that seems to degenerate into a racial war. Years ago, it was not like that. In fact usually the two families were matched - if there was a black family on one side, there was a black family on the other side. If the family were mixed, it was the same on the other side. I know that sometimes people put on blinders and just see the episodes where they are the same on both sides. Unfortunatley I would rather have a balanced group on both sides.

We were not watching these shows but playing them on computer as we are the contestants. Somehow i do like these games although only me and hubby compete for each other, it is really fun though.
I haven't watched the real show, the last time i have seen family feud was when i was 12 years old. And the host seems to kiss all the lady contestants there. I use to remember how my dad comments on the host.
Anyway about Jeopardy, well you really have to be intellectual for that game. Unlike family Feud, it was based on surveys and you have your family to help you with the answer and letting them decide what answer to pick.
